Great tremolo pedal from MXR. Does stereo panning and regular tremolo. Three knobs, two footswtiches.

SOUND QUALITY

Sounds are superb! Great tremolo sounds coming from this pedal. MXR hit it on the spot with this one. I used to have the old original version. This one is just as good if not better than the original they made

OVERALL OPINION

I wanted a tremolo to give some vintage texturing to my sound and I'm very happy with this box. Its sounds fantastic, no noise or tone sucking, can do stereo tremolo, has nice big metal knobs that can be adjusted by foot. Tap tempo would have been nice, but not a big deal for me. It's a bit larger than other tremolos but that's ok. It uses 18V DC ~20mA, but most modern pedal board power supplies can handle that voltage easy enough. Goes through 2x 9V batteries at a time so you really should have a power supply anyway.

The MXR M-159 Stereo Tremolo is a guitar effects pedal that has two ¼ inch outputs as well as two ¼ inch inputs. It is powered by the power supply that comes with it and also has two separate foot switches.



UTILIZATION

Using the MXR M-159 Stereo Tremolo is a very easy to do as it only has three different parameters – one for depth, one for shape, and one for speed. It has basic connections, even if you are trying to use it as a stereo pedal. Having the two different foot switches for pan and the effect is a nice feature to have as well. I don’t have the manual for this pedal, but you really don’t need it to learn the pedal.


SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the MXR M-159 Stereo Tremolo is pretty awesome all around. It is capable of getting a bunch of different types of tremolo tones, but I like it best for the traditional sound that you would think of when you think of this type of effect. It has a really full tone and the rate of the tremolo really pulses a great deal no matter where you set it. While I don’t always use it as a stereo pedal, it is nice to have the option available to do so if I’d like.


OVERALL OPINION

I’ve had the MXR M-159 Stereo Tremolo for about three years and I have to say its one of the better tremolo pedals that I’ve used. I’ve always generally liked the pedals made by MXR, and this pedal really shows the best of what they can do. This isn’t the cheapest tremolo pedal out there when compared to some of the other available options, but to me this sounds way better than most of the other pedals out there. If you’re looking to get a great sounding tremolo pedal and are willing to pay the price, I would highly recommend this pedal.

In fact, it is the successor to the trs certainly known Dunlop TS-2, and is no longer in the catalog for 3 or 4 years dj. Nothing in this digital pedals, it's all analog and sounds in consquence. Level connections, two inputs and two outputs and a 18V plug for the AC adapter.


UTILIZATION

<span style="font-weight: normal;">It's really not too complicated to use. We can rgler the waveform will modulate the signal between sinus square, the modulation speed and depth of the effect. Basta. And two switches, one that triggers the effect trmolo or not (true bypass) and another switch that toggles between trmolo auto-pan.</span>

In short, really simple to use.

SOUND QUALITY

<span style="font-weight: normal;">THE FIRST suffered from the problem of loss of volume when it activates silent. Than the not at all, it plutt otherwise. It gives me the impression to boost the sound.

<span style="font-weight: normal;">I use it with my old Fender Rhodes piano training, to simulate the stro trmolo suitecases. The pedals do not dnature the original sound, but provides a wonderful effect stro.</span>


OVERALL OPINION

<span style="font-weight: normal;">I use it for 2 years ending for. I just bought in the United States when it was released in 2007, the local price, so much infrieur prices in Europe. Before the pedals, I test the Electro Harmonix Stereo Pulsar, but he did not supply Fully satisfaction as it n'tait not empty rgler . The balance in the paning left right as almost impossible to achieve.
