My copy is an LC15, more basic than the LC15R (rverbe, effects loop and exit HP +).
15 watt lamps (Groove Tube & 2xEL34 3x12AX7), HP 10 ".
1 channel, 3 tone, gain and volume: it is simple
Hi Lo 2 inputs, 1 line out
Switch bright (great for clean sounds "Beatles")
The little extra's LC15R lack a bit but nothing essential.
UTILIZATION
In line with the Fender Champ and other small lamp amps, it's gross.
One branch is the volume up and go.
A small volume, we have seen better, the lights do not bring much. I used as a few months before taking her campaign to heat lamps: it day and night.
The rglage tones is sweet but changes the color of her properly. A bit of background noise by pushing the gain but nothing mchant.
Note: 15W, it's not a bedroom amp (my amp is a 30W transistor chamber). It is very hard to home. The grain obtained by the saturation of EL84 when the volume is mounted trs rock, more Vox / Marshall as Fender.
SOUNDS
For Trash, go your way. For the Stones, Beatles, the crunch and sharp rhythms, has made "serious". The bright light of its normal volume sounds trs Vox. A high volume, it is possible, too much treble.
The gain has not won be pushed back to keep the DEFINITIONS.
Depending on the microphone, the sound remains clear longer or shorter, but overall the crunch quickly if you go up the volume. But you dj rveill whole neighborhood now l.
We can try to customize the bte but the change of lamps have little effect on your exact. It seems that with a better type HP Jensen C10Q a rounder sound but the best provision is an external firm: IMMEDIATE dcollage.
Rating: 8 / 10: it is not an AC15 or a Deluxe Reverb but it's not the same price
OVERALL OPINION
Used for 2 years, bought used (model 96). A whistle appeared to beginners, c'tait lamp microphone. More APRS change problem. It has small mood swings from time to time but it's probably time to change the power tubes.
I wanted a small lamp for the apartment but c'tait error: should push for it to give everything. And apart, impossible to mount the volume above 2.
I've heard of problem on some models because of the lights mounted directly on the circuit (a heater), but making sure all is well.
I keep it to play back home but for a good transistor amp (Behringer GM110) sounds better.
