UTILIZATION

The configuration is rather complex for a beautiful sound, it took me beacoup hours of use. There are still some in the manual setting of examples that are not so bad ...

SOUNDS

The GP-1000 is made for ROCKERSSSS, be it rock or 70.80 years of Metal 90.2000 years, should have all its styles. I use it now with a Jackson RR and Marshall amp simulation ampe and the sound is VERY GOOD. It is pierced while having an incredible tone. However, I quickly noticed that this preamp is for professionals and you have the rest of the Professional Equipment that goes with it. So, I have managed to get by with my amp modeling preamp but it was designed to operate with a power amp tube. If you do not use it with a power amp tube, you for not pulling the full capacity of the preamp.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year, this pre-amp is very rare and date of 80 years. This is why even though it is not my room that is the most expensive in money, it is she who is the most expensive in value. I bought it on ebay (about the only place there) and I paid about $ 450, rather expensive but I find that the trouble in Valle. Are only fault was that even on the Mettan chanel CLEAN, it distortionne so as soon as you plug your guitar in the Gp-1000 you have no choice but to Rocker. I WILL RÉACHETERAIS ANYTIME !!!!!

UTILIZATION

Very simple.
As drummer at the base, I do not know much. But there need not be in the middle of the guitar for a long time to understand.

This amp delivers a powerful sound with lots of treble, it is terribly accurate. And that palm mute ......... What a joy!

I use a preamp RT2/50 RANDALL, coupled with two speakers ROCTRON, all used with a Signature Alexi Laiho LTD. Result: A pure bliss!

on the other hand for the sounds, the knobs are good runs but the difference is not obvious. Except for knob disto. But the low volume pot for example ..... it's barely audible.

OVERALL OPINION

Firstly, I want to say I bought this preamp to get a sound approximating Children Of Bodom. Objective accomplished. Obviously I do not sound identical COB only preamp that is a hallmark of fabrique.On Desuite feels from the first notes played.
So I'm not agree with a notice previously posted, if you want to get closer to that famous sound COB, you can invest in this gem. However, it remains to note that if I have a sound that is similar is that I Laiho signature guitar and I played on a preamp ANY TWO LIGHTS and good speakers. Before it was on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, he spoke a lot less, it has nothing to do. You must leave some money for the rest of the stuff.

In short, a purchase that I do it again without hesitation. Counsel, the best to find it is ebay / with a price hovering around $ 400. The value for money remains interesting even if its price has increased due to the use (among other things) COB.
