I used it for 2 months in a Rock / Metal registry. His purchase was not planned because I had also a Framus 2x12 Celestion Vintage 30. But I had the opportunity to acquire it for a pittance.
I was able to compare the difference between rendering my Framus and Mesa ... and despite the fact that the Framus is an excellent price / quality ratio is the day and night: the sound is much thicker and is much better for my taste.
I have long underestimated the impact of the baffle in the sound and it really is with its acquisition that I understand the difference between a "standard" cabinet and a high-range cabinet.
Otherwise, nothing to say. As always this is Mesa is serious and quality. This firm is one of the references in 2x12 and I advise you to try .... and acquire new opportunity because it's sore for a baffle.

I just bought it, it is lamentable to post an opinion on a product that can barely knows, but then if we make this assumption, what good are the tests??? huh? ben so good!

Tried so 1 hour volume dancer ...
Used in extension of a mesa in f30 combo 1 X12 V30 telecaster us mounted vanzandt true vintage Squier Classic Vibe handle, and that the saturated outline, no pedals, while the volume of the hip.

It is a model in 140w 8ohms, supposedly loaded with v30 supposedly built differently from those found in the unit celestion, not 100% sure of the veracity of this statement ...

I had one equivalent Framus in v30, a v30 in Laboga ...
The Framus is far behind in accuracy and musicality, Laboga is pretty much in the same category, but could not do A / B testing, and not used the same amp (laney TT50h), therefore difficult to say whether a diffuse more relative to each other, the hair was a Laboga above, narrower, hp's diagonal.

I love everything about this cabinet, and those who complain about the weight have to play the flute recorder, it will make room on guitar forums ...
I advise you to turn with a 1960TV some time, you will see that everything is more convenient ... ^ ^
the handle on top for me much better than taken by side, at least you can spend doors, bad amp on one side and the other in the cabinet, well it is not bad!

Nine, the quality / price ratio takes a donut, but apart from Chinese stuff or sub-brands or Framus HB, if you want tough, you will not be far ...
the ratio Q / P is the best ppc 212, no doubt.

I note 10 because everything is perfect in my case.

What is sure, if I was to steal it, is that I démerderais to find the same ... 8ohms, 140w, and secondhand. (Or fly again because I'm nasty)

There really isn't anything bad to say about the Rectifier 2x12 cabs. They are as good, if not better, than any 2x12 out there. The sound, the quality, it's all there.

I purchased mine used for around $300, so I got a great deal. I believe they go for around $700 new. I don't think any cab is worth the new price since you can usually get them at half price used.

Soundwise, they are excellent. They do almost sound like a 4x12 cab. Killer low end, and great punch. They won't project as well as a 4x12 and they are very close to he ground, but that's how I like my cabs anyway. For rock and metal, they are perfect. If are looking for a more 'open' sound, then I'm not sure this would be the cab for you. They are very very tight and punchy. Mine is loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's.

As far as quality, Mesa is second to none. They may even be a it overbuilt. You could drop this thing out of a car on the highway, and it would be fine. Just awesome! I love the leather corners on their cabs. Sort of like the caddie of guitar cabs.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I will never sell mine.

2 months since I have this cabinet.
Baffle actually very heavy and not very practical grip. Aesthetics nickel we have before us a product that inspires srieux and trust. and solid

I play on a solo front head 50. Before 1922 I had a marshall for the little rock ca happening but the rest did not follow the hp.

The nothing to do.
1: WHAT DYNAMIC! A large potato without drooling either. A large powerful deep well
2: The clean sounds real warm, deep, slamming, Defines, we find out this compression without the typical mesa acute attack of my old cabinet.
3: Crunches, before I could not get a satisfactory (blues / rock) and frankly it just comes. Less aggressive in the treble, silkier and dynamic
4: distos then ....... A REAL BLAST! From rock to heavy metal sound that spot, the HP does not budge! the sound is much better Dfine. is simple in 2 min I found the sounds of the big limp bizkit or metallica. it's terrible.

Since I have the impression of having a new amp, I explain: the qualisation acts much more than before on the sound, even the effects of my G-Major are transformed s (and better).

I hold this cabinet: solid and dynamic sound quality and especially the versatility!

I remake that choice again even if it's a cheap can (ca dropped a can: around 770 euros nine) because at least I exploit the possibilities of my amp (not like before) and frankly I ' I and many compartment ca buried a 4 * 12 marshall standard.

But I think it's a waste to put anything other than a mesa in a correct, especially if you like the bass of the front mids and lows
A limit may be that I would take 1 April 12, but hey it's not even seen how it sucks to lug (not including the weight)

j uses this cabinet for about 6 months and care stations, adpote serious! I get out of a marshall 1960 and many ana see anything! I prfere 1000 times the baffle.
there is no good photo, rendering the bass, midrange and treble are very good, is not Criar c ... the quality is there. j have also redcouvert my prampli (a TriAxis! ... the height !...)
engl V30 in the Mount sy closer but still strong, finishing and largely in favor of the mesa.
report quality price ... the key is probably the only default in mesa, c trs is expensive! but hey, I'll tell you, if I'd buy a dessuite, I'll never NWPD n as much money in the various "investments" that have m not satisfied to finally reach a product that r lay all my requests.

I would do directly to this choice and this 10 years earlier! ... I put 9 because the price is c is the lev, but all good! (I'll make you moan, I got it in for 2 700 euros !...)

- Its been 8 months I use this cabinet, and I am still as pleased.
- I bought it along with my head Mesa (TA-15), I had a Budda 1x12 test, the result is a good acoustic pressure, we feel that the speaker sends the sound but a bit too screaming, not enough bass and lower midrange to treble over. I also try a Marshall 4x12 (the 1960), and there, you know, I hesitate between a neutral medium and short, his lack of energy, and at the frequencies I felt it was all in same level.
- My dealer advised me to take the Mesa 2x12, which I did because over time, he knows the kind of sound I'm looking and I can trust him, suddenly I really was not disappointed! Compared to the 1x12 and 4x12 is a little the best of both worlds, there is color in the sound, it is well oriented in the bass and midrange and treble are not aggressive, and we always feel to take a slap in the Geul with.
- I am a bit novice in the field of speakers, I have not test masses, but I do not think I made a mistake in this choice.
- Unless you invest in Diezel or other brand of genre, I'm not sure which is better.
- The negatives are the price a bit expensive, weight about 25-30 kg, a single strap over the top. The Good, sound, dynamic, acoustic pressure, wood quality, design simple but neat (it's done), four removable casters.
- A remake that choice I would do without hesitation, Mesa is reliable, robust and sounds great, only problem is that for this kind of quality is a price.

The Mesa Boogie Rectifier 2x12 cabinet comes in at about $650 new, which is high priced for a new 2x12 cabinet, but you are paying for a high quality and just GREAT sounding cabinet by all means. Compared to the Marshall 1936, it's a heavier cabinet weight wise and tone wise. It is loaded with casters for wheeling it around (a handy feature for saving arm muscle) as well as two side handles for carrying it. It weighs a fair bit for a 2x12 (I believe it's about 55 or 60 pounds) which to me feels a good 10 pounds heavier than the Marshall 2x12s).

Tone wise, I'm really impressed with this cabinet. Around here we don't have a whole lot of options for different cabinets to try. Makes like Port City and Whitebox aren't easily available here, so players are primarily dealing with Marshall and Mesa. This cabinet is loaded with two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers putting out 120w of power. The Vintage 30s are fast becoming some of my favourite speakers for their smooth midrange, their reasonable low end and their very biting and rich high end and when they're placed in this high quality Mesa cabinet it just sounds stellar. Even when I've tried them as new, barely broken in cabinets they've always sounded warm and very pleasing to my ears. It's a very BIG sounding 2x12 and fills up rooms no problem... which is a primary issue I've found with lighter weight cabinets that I've tried over the years. As much as a pain as it might be sometimes to lug a heavier 2x12 around, it's worth it for the thickness that you gain in tone as well as the sound it disperses around the room.

All in all I definitely think that of the options we have around here for new speaker cabinets, the Mesa Rectifier 2x12 cabinet is probably the best thing you'll find. For about $650 new I'd probably consider spending a little more and getting a Port City Wave 2x12, but barring that, the Mesa Recto is probably my favourite cabinet available today.

Absolutely love this cab! Mesa builds things to withstand abuse and road readiness. This cabinet is no exception. Built with high quality birth wood and solid tolex it can rip but most Recto cab in my experience held its own.

This was typically used in conjunction with a Recto 4x12 with the same speakers. This 2x12 comes with Mesa's Celestion V30's which is a bit different than the V30's you buy elsewhere. They seem to be still made in the UK where the new V30's are Chinese made. I'm not sure if Mesa still uses these or not, my experience is with older 2x12 cabs. I believe that the Mesa version V30's has more warmth and a smooth character to them to which the China made ones come off a little more sterile. They aren't bad speakers but just compared to the Mesa style I feel they don't handle business.

We coupled this with a Dual Recto and another 4x12 and there isn't much else to say other than it just rips. I have played many 2x12 cabs and there are some great one out there. I think Mesa's pricing on it may be on the higher end. They usually run around $600+ which you can find some cheaper on the used market of course.

I used a Les Paul with the Recto and 2x12/4x12 set up and it was a combo made for rock. I think there is a sweetness by adding a 2x12 to a 4x12 and a convenience as well instead of hauling around two 4x12's. I feel I was able to get a huge sound with out breaking my back hauling multiple 4x12s around to gigs.

This cabinet is a closed design in that the back side is not open. So this makes the speakers very directional. So if you are using only the 2x12 then you may not be able to hear it as well while on stage. But if you're using it as an iso cab in another room then it is perfect for the space. I like this cab also in a wet dry set up as well. Where I could run my dry signal out to the 4x12 and running my effected signal to the 2x12. This was probably my favorite setup. I simply use a QSC power amp with a TC Electronics G major out from my load box. It was simple but I always had to talk to sound guy into giving the guitar player two mics. So be prepared to haggle with the washed up musician running sound who is pissed that he isn't playing anymore.

I do have some gripes about this cab. The stupid handle on top is sort of ridiculous! This cab isn't light and its not a back breaker either. But putting an amp head handle on top of a 2x12 that weighs over 60 lbs is just dumb. It can easily slip out of your hand since you only have one hand to hold it with. I think this is just poor research and design on Mesa's part.

One thing that I forgot to mention is the sturdiness of Mesa's removable casters on the bottom. Mesa makes the best casters in my opinion. They are sturdy and reliable and make transporting the heavy duty cabs much more forgiving. Plus the option of being able to remove them so you can throw it on top of a 4x12 is fantastic!

I would recommend this cab to any one who is need of a solid 2x12 that will not give you much problems. Even switch out the speakers if V30's aren't your thing. The cab is solid and road worthy. It is a bit of a plunge at $620 but it will last you a lifetime of gigging.
