Lachnit FLK MK2 Studio 88

Keyboard feel very upscale wood.

UTILIZATION

I play regularly on fourth acoustic grand piano of Kieffer brand that has a very good momentum.
With the keypad Lachnit FLK MK2 Studio 88 coupled with a very good virtual instrument is seriously approaching the same sensations.
In fact, with good headphones on and Ivory Steinway D, I think I have fingers in a real piano again with very good pickups.
The dynamic is not as high as with a real piano but the keyboard is very accurate, touch wood makes the game very enjoyable and having a sound virtual piano tuned to perfection a lot of fun.

I also rediscovered my virtual sounds Rhodes with this touch wood.

OVERALL OPINION

Since I have this keyboard, touch my Yamaha KX88 seems soft. The touch of my Kurzweil PC3X is lively but leaves an impression of touch "plastic". This in from Fatar (TP40L) is also the same as found on the Clavia Nordstage 88.

I had the opportunity to test the Roland RD 700NX which has a very good touch but unfortunately without aftertouch.
The Korg Kronos 88 note has a very very decent touch also (with aftertouch), but once we tested wooden keys, it's hard to return to the all-plastic ...

I put aside voluntarily keyboards whose weight is 30 kg or more as the new Kawai VPC1 because for me it is at the limit of transportable.

I had previously tested the Studiologic Numa Nero using the model key Fatar TP400 wood from home as FLK Lachnit. This is why I bought it without testing directly.
The difference lies in the fact that contacts with Fatar are replaced by a more precise optical system.

In summary, I think this tool is for people who are willing to put at least € 3,000 in a keypad and who already have a laptop with very good virtual instruments *. To me, they now surpass the hardware and is scalable. For a little more than the price a Clavia Nord Stage 88, we are left with a course without sound module with an integrated keyboard but touch wood none.

In short, I do not regret my purchase!
