'I made this choice through other review Audiofanzine. Difficult when you live in the Gard, find a place to listen to monitors in an atmosphere proper.
Voullais I replace my aging behringer 2031, and with a sound very dull.
Audiofanzine thank you for the advice of others that seem appropriate.

SOUNDS

A response curve is 1000 times more neutral than the Behringer, one beside the other, day and night. Good stereo, clear sound with a high medium now, personally, I prefer them to 2db for comfort. But none of rédibitoire.
What a pleasure to find what I hear in my headphone HD25.

OVERALL OPINION

I just buy them, but I'm already convinced. It is also very nice, thank you Mr Yam!
Very good value for money, without hesitation, with the same budget, I would do the same choice.
I can only listen to my mixes to see what was mist ...

Yes I have tested other monitoring value for money and I opt for it.

Value for money, I better not find ....

I used the Yamaha HS80M’s for about a year and a half total, I loved them and they have a very good crystal clear sound. Great range, from hi’s to low end. But during my mixing I couldn’t get a clean mix with them. So that’s why I didn’t keep them longer than that. But for the price of these monitors its well worth the try to see how they work for you. Great neutral and accurate sounds come out of these monitors. My choice for these monitors was persuaded by the price. it’s a very respectable price for quality monitors in today’s music realm.

The curve of frequency response is excellent, the low end thumps! These monitors will do the job for you without a doubt. They have very good dynamics but a little rough on the low end which is why I couldn’t get clean mixes with them. These where my first real pair of monitors, they aren’t pretty too look at and nothing spectacular about the design but they do more than the job.


SOUNDS

The Stereo image is ok, sound is clear and very stable . These will give you a wow factor that you will need, go to a store and try them out asap.

OVERALL OPINION


Overall you wont get a better monitor for the price of these, so if this is what your budget is give them a shot you might stick with them and keep them as your main monitors. They can be compared to the KRKs and Mackies. Make sure you have a solid room treatment to go with these monitors though, it will make them sound that much better! The best part about these is they are very accurate and have great precision. Knowing what I know now I am glad that I purchased these and I would do it again, maybe one day I will give them another shot!

The choice was motivated by the brand, never disappointed by Yamaha, and trials in open space in a store, compared with HS 50M (no bass), Mackie (cardboard side) and samson A7X (not the same range but the 80 HS PRESENT were tj, were more expensive.

My usage: general listening and mixing

To clarify, the style of music: I'm Latin, latinjazz, electro and lounge moods priority miking acoustic guitar. With the little stuff I own these speakers are an essential tool for a good sound and an equalizer to correct the guitar.

Until then I bounced my tracks and went off to a friend for my mixer controls on JBL LSR Series
I continue to do so but it is much faster now, I have to resume the mix to zero, the HS 80 do a good job
What I miss is being able to mix well- push volume up loud, so I keep remixing in the studio but it is quicker

SOUNDS

frequency curve? on paper it is virtually identical to adam A5X
The sound is clear, clarity in the higher frequencies, means lots of little details to erase (miking acoustic guitar), style shot of nails on the strings or the body, note poorly supported (frieze)
For the bass, my room is a bit small, but the difference is notable when properly adjusting the switch back (I'm at -2 db).
The stereo image? well yes, respecting the equilateral triangle, we have 1 left and 1 right side is precisely the rule and each panoramic instrumentals detaches into the mix.

I am not Inge's lab, I have no ears for bionic, and neither to analyze the frequencies and other transients, I listen and I mix, it does it well.

OVERALL OPINION

I have them for about 1 month and I'm not disappointed
I was mixing, and I continue before JBL LSR MSP5 NS and 10 in control, I'm not homesick
They perform their task correctly, which is: the mix

To listen it is perfect, I say thank you my CD every day, my mp3s have nothing to be ashamed of either

At that price they are the best quality / price / power ratio in the current market, in my humble opinion

If I will make this choice again? yes for the same configuration

PS: I put the 9 / 10 everywhere (perfection is not for this world) because they suit me entirely, which is not necessarily the case for other configurations or other musical styles.
