UTILIZATION

General configuration very simple, if we have, ever so slightly, approached the world (fascinating) synthesis.
Each parameter can be accessed directly by a potentiometer, or, failing that, very quickly through the menu.
The fact that the presets are not numbered but named is a little confusing at first, but you get done quickly and access by the potentiometer "Program" or when we know the number you wish directly by the keypad is actually quite simple and intuitive.

I did do that flew over the manual, but it looks clear and everything seems to be addressed.

I've had a few months and the only problem I have encountered at this time of the transfer presets from the computer (and therefore the final certainly does not even in the synth itself, but more mishandling of the whole of me).
One reason that made me buy this synth (besides the price, and lots of good advice found here or elsewhere on the web) is that we can transfer V-Station presets (VST version ) K-Station.
After research, I found a few tracks on the net explaining the basics of manipulation, but on all the solutions found, none works for me (I actually made a few days ago a post about it on the forum, but so far no response).

SOUNDS

Excellent for all types of electronic music minimal "edgy": D (for me, electrohouse, breakbeat, dubstep, drum n 'bass, techno, gabber ...).
It screams super easy, it's "filthy" and wish to personally, that's all I ask!

Joking aside, I used both for good low fat electrohouse, the subs jungle for "reeces" drum n 'bass or leads gabber.
Also great for emulating a TB-303, in the kind Acidcore arpeggio, it's a real pleasure.


Well, it is certainly not worth a virus or other "racing machine", but it makes the job very well anyway.

I have the VST Predator Rob Papen and I find that the sounds that one manages to get with the K-Station is close to this.

The effects seem to me more correct, a little loud mouthed and sometimes metal, but not enough to spit on this synth it seems to me (well, along with my ears that have casually picked up a lot over the years and my meager knowledge of synthesis, I'm certainly not the best place to talk ...).

Also mention the arpeggiator, basic but who does his job too.

Ultimately, therefore, like all synthesizers of this type, if you're looking for realistic sounds, go your way immediately!
If you look for a synth of electronica, drum n 'bass, trance, gabber's, techno, or even the dirty south, you can go there, it is sure to please.

And, because there must necessarily have a little "less", otherwise some might think I'm nothing but a commercial NOVATION in seeking to bring the customers to its brand, we can say he may be missing some volume and it should therefore not hesitate to climb a little gain on the mixer.
For example, I use it also setup live with a friend, with the MPC2500, an Alpha Juno 1, an MS2000 and SH201, and it's one that sounds the least strong (but hey, nothing to be bothered and having to climb excessively gain either).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few months, but in a rather intensive.

I've tried quite a few other synthesizer models of this type before, things in the same price or more expensive and it seems far from being ridiculous (especially considering its price).

What I love most, its "bestial" and its ease of use.
What I like least ... go ... I repeat, to say something, but do not mind: it lacks a little volume compared to other synths.

The price / quality ratio is excellent (especially since it looks pretty solid, but hey, I do not own it long enough to be sure of myself) and I would do without hesitation that choice with the experience I have currently.

The K-Station is a keyboard 2 Octaves sensitive pressure of the note (aftertouch) possde that a number of functions for the edition of the programs rather surprising.
Typically possitionn between the sound color of Jupiter ... or MOO ... K-STATION is really a small Roadster / Coup that will blow any type of composition.

One of his formidable modlisation
The K-station has 3 oscillators among the most powerful existing, each of which can provide waveforms classical wave sinusodale for which ncessitent grooves of "sub-bass." The K-STATION possde a warm filter, "liquid" Novation gives you a rich, warm analog filters. Select the low-pass, for slopes of 12dB or 24dB cut rsonance with overdrive and allows you to re-create any type of sound from a very distorted TB303 analog and low well-rounded.

UTILIZATION

The use of K-STATION is really easy because anyone with dj pos hands or not an analog synthtiseur will be enchanted by its ergonomics. It moves, a means!. The K-Station has multiple MIDI Controller on the panel acting mostly in MIDI, SysEx, Control Changes. The edition and clearly Retailer srigraphie is a breeze.

VOCODER.
The K-STATION possde between a 6.35mm audio jack (with management gain Line / Mic + dB) for connecting any type of microphone (headset, dynamic, static) possdant connector 6.35mm mle. The program allows 279 CHAC direct VOCODER without fuss or otherwise. Systm of the filter + SETTING THE edition of the frquences cutoff, it can grate with Transposition - (3 / 3 octave), the audio signal line intligibilit by VOCODER (you know ... the "YES .. The final is really INTERESTED and personally, OK you do not get what can a VC3, but we approach it really. SOUNDS

Terrible. It's simple, it NOVATION. In any fawn, I think we like it or not. Lovers sounds Prophet (tm), Jupiter (tm), Moog (R) and others will gather forcment through the sonic palette of K-STATION. It possde four banks of sounds: 100/200 which are factory patches and 300/400, which are the "Users".

The particularity of the K-Station is that as possde SUPERNOVA II, 7 cumulative effect on a preset: Reverb + Chorus + + Disto Eq Pan + + + Delay Vocoder with course changes in r tings necessary

OVERALL OPINION

I use this keyboard from beginners to marketing as my colleague Olivier B. which is the Novation product manager, which I welcome the same opportunity. I like this keyboard because it is versatile, portable, and most importantly ddi possde a tone color and dynamics to me familires trs. I regret that not NOVATION prvu to market Bandoulire version, but with an AX7 and A-STATION is the rack version, I think can be a still playable.
Regarding the price, I'll let you judge only: 999 euros TTC public

Super sound, super easy to use, friendly, etc ... LUDIK in short, a super synth ....
me who had a bunch of old mono (Teisco, SIEL, korg and other honky-tonks ....), I t surprised to find the K-ST. similarity of certain sounds. Kan modlisation the waveforms (carrsinus, etc ...) is simply poustouflante for a synth in this price range ...

I bought this synth opportunities for fada a friend of analog synths and I had in my hands just a APRS PM: I can not give you all CHARACTERISTICS . I know it's a synth-type formulation numrique from analog oscillators 2 3 octaves with vocoder and other effects Intgr.

UTILIZATION

I have never seen a synth as easy to use. Then I put my Yamaha AN200 STUDY weeks (which is somewhat in the same cathgorie - modlisation from analog), I'm having is dj 85 % around the K-Station in the only APRS afternoon during which I had hands. We understand immediately without the need for manual how it is used - if a minimum of connatre modlisation analog - and fortunately for with Novation, to find manuals in French is galre. It seems that my week of my studies there AN200 abroad is not surprising the rapid handling of this product ^ ^

Ergonomic level, it is perfect for live, if only to have the instinct of synthse and sound more ceului music. Although two octaves, has seems a little short to play on but hey, we will make it ^ ^

SOUNDS

Well, I could try the factory presets, I have not had time to "make" me-same sounds. The pluspart of them are quite aggressive and mtalliques (unless the Yamaha DX200, when-even), but some of them are big analog sound of a sacr EHJV ) ) Compared my AN200, it really has a power of its almost certainly unconventional thanks trs troixime the oscillator (the AN200 has only 2).

I have not had time to try his vocoder, domaaaaaaaage :-( But I make him confience eyes closed.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had six months, this is my first synth and I will keep it hard.
A synth which is just a synth nothing else (no sequencer, etc.) but does terribly well, with many controls accessible via pottards on the facade.
Compared to MicroKorg which is in the same price range, there is a unique presence in the sound.

I wanted a synth transportable and simple to use live behind my MPC 2000, I made the right choice, just j'hsites dbarasser me to buy the rack version, which has 4 outputs ( 2 stereo) and a double polyphony.

Report quality unbeatable price, I bought it new in Germany 350.

For a summary I would say small but tough: two-octave keyboard, polyphony of 8 channels, almost all functions accessible from the front thanks to the knobs, MIDI IN / OUT / THRU
audio input, headphone jack and an audio output left / right.
400 memory for sounds.

UTILIZATION

So there, there is no simple, it is super intuitive & user friendly.

no need for manual or so for a few hidden features such as vocoder effects and settings, but hey it is not essential, I've never had and I use very well without the synth

SOUNDS

It only sounds synthetic and that's good, no sound in general.

The smallest of Novation keyboards COMPTITE returns directly with the Alesis Micron.
Level possibility the K-Station is a little below the Ion because it has no built-in MIDI sequences, or drum kits or grooves.
Cepandant not a toy. Despite its price it all at large.
Surprisingly, when opened, one is surprised by the dnuement total. 3. processors on a minimap.

Anyway, a super Vocoder, full of buttons ral time, many effects ... Arpgiateur except a little lightweight all of the same!

I must say I like the sound Novation. I prfre well on the Supernova which color heat particulire all, but I must say that the K-Station keeps a lot of this heat.

What they have done a plugin version, fun. But it does not sound as well. So it's a good little Calvier control with sounds and cheap!

I use it for 2 weeks and I play at least once a day.
Programming is quick and sound trs trs typ.
I have a Roland SH-32 multi-timbral sound and trs diffrent, it lacked a companion to the sonic palette.
I bought 260 euros used and worth for those who seek a synthtiseur monotimbral with the characters.
Do not hesitate to do again what I want.

All the features are great. This synth has superb capabilities of changing all dynamics of sound. The volume,pitch,and Tone are what make up sound and this K-Station is jam packed with tweeking options. Only one feature that I really wish it had was the ability to act as a midi-controller to control VST's K-Station has: 1 1/4&quot; output 1 1/4&quot; Input Midi- In , out , Thru power supply It's own headphone jack

Very easy to use, I like that it has nice full keys. The manual is decent. I wish that the top row of knobs were spaced a little farther apart for us guys with big fingers

This is a very well built machine for under a grand!

SOUNDS

The sound quality is exactly what attracted me to this tool. It has rediculously thick & Fat sounds and textures. This synth I feel was developed to produce driving leads and Bass,although it has beautiful melodies. Effects: Delay Reverb Chorus Distortion EQ Panning & Vocoder As far as Sound quality goes I feel for the money it compares to the Nord's

OVERALL OPINION

I am totally in love with this synth the day I found it I played with it for 6 1/2 hours at the shop! I left G.C. starving I had been there all day. That's when you know you found something special and amazing. I truly beleive that the thick ambient textures that my future compositions will transpose will be a direct result from this Synthesizer.

Your basic feature set for a synth, plus a great vocoder, external processing and effects abiltiy. The 8 voice stacking feature is very nice for massive sounds. The ability to blow out all factory sounds and write your own 400 patches is a huge plus.

UTILIZATION

This may be one of the easiest synths one would ever use. It's portable, great sounding, and looks nice.

I have never contacted customer support, and I feel it is robust enough.

SOUNDS

The sound is exceptional. It's incredibly thick and organic sounding. It's very musical. Most of the presets are for the dance crowd, but once you start your own tweaking, you realize this synth can do so much more -from Pinnk Floyd to ambient.

OVERALL OPINION

It's a mini synth that is a monster sonically. I love it, and would get one to replace it immediately.
