UTILIZATION

The handle is really nice. Very thin especially on the first box, it is very significant (it prevents cramps fingers ...). Touch is very nice as well. Keys maple gives a very good sustain, a little less for the G string.

Access to the treble is very good.

Some flats in ergonomics. The weight is in my opinion a bit too high. If the belt is too narrow it feels faster pain in the shoulder. Do not hesitate to choose a belt as wide and comfortable and train to play upright getting used to.

Adjustment (truss rod and string height) is easily accessible but it will take a lot of patience to get a satisfactory result. Also in B flat potentiometers that do not have benchmarks is a shame.

SOUNDS

I play more pop / rock / reggae / blues. The sound suits me perfectly, it remains very true to the style Jazz Bass.
I play with a little Peavey Max 158 amp, not powerful enough to fully convey the low frequencies. However, backed with a good sound card via the headphone amp and a good downstream, there is an excellent frequency response and a nice fat well. Plugged into an amp MarkBass is royal!

OVERALL OPINION

I use my squier jazz bass since I started and I do not change soon. The sound it delivers is for me a reference (the reference Jazz Bass).
I'm not exceptionally excited about the look of this bass (very personal opinion), however the finish maple (light wood) is very pleasing to the eye and touch. However, its relatively high density makes it heavy to carry wood, but provides excellent sustain.

Few problems finishing, particularly at the graduate non knobs and jack has a tendency to unscrew.

The price / quality ratio is unbeatable. Even if this low is not an arrow was enough to have some fun, for a while. Excellent choice to start and grow with good feelings.
