M-Audio Delta Audiophile 192Published on 08/11/08 at 20:41
I got this as my first sound card for when I wanted to record at home. I used it to record my guitar and singing. I have a windows vista computer, it's a dell. It has a pretty fast double core processor and 2 gigabytes of ram. It has a CD drive as well. I use it with the ableton live recording program. It works very well and I am able to get pretty good recordings with it.

UTILIZATION

I had someone install it for me who works with computers. It only took them about 10 minutes to get it in the computer. It seemed to work perfectly, they didn't say there were any problems with it. There weren't any issues with compatibility with my recording program and this sound card. It is...…

UTILIZATION

I had someone install it for me who works with computers. It only took them about 10 minutes to get it in the computer. It seemed to work perfectly, they didn't say there were any problems with it. There weren't any issues with compatibility with my recording program and this sound card. It is really easy to use - there isn't much to it. I never actually needed to use the manual because it's so easy to use. The manual was pretty thick though so I would say that the manual should be sufficient.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers for the sound card work very well and there are no problems so far. I don't know if they are often updated, but I have never had any problems so I never had to get different ones. I always use this with Ableton Live so you can tell it works really well with that program. I get really good latency, which means it doesn't lag behind a lot. I can record a couple tracks at the same time, but I only ever use one. It works great for that - just plug in your microphone and you can record.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using this for a couple of years. I like how easy it is to use and that it sounds very clear. I used to use a different sound card and it was not even close to being as clear sounding as this one. I haven't tried that many other models, but this one sounds very good to me for just a small home studio kind of thing to record myself. It was not that expensive compared to the other options, so I think it's a very good value. I would get it again if I had to choose another sound card, I have had no problem with it and it's so easy to use. It's a good buy!

Sound card with a very good report qualitprix, e / s SPDIF (high quality) between 2 & 2 Output Jack 6.35 (1 monitoring output and an output line) and finally 1 entry e & 1 midi output. The connection is very good, the finish of the card is rather pretty, and 6.35 is well Inrush.
I use it on a PC P4 3.6GHz, 2GB DDRII, P5ND2 cm Asus Sli, Cubase SE, Alesis Monitor One MKII & RA150.

USE

The connection is done very easily (the user manual says to imprativement install the drivers before the branch I do not respect what disai and yet it works wonderfully) .dropoff window A small dfault not the driver of the card is entirely in English which is a drawback for those lil trouble,...…

Manual issue, it was not entitled great explanation, but hey, its configuration is not very difficult.

IMPLEMENTATION

I use it for monitoring, the sound quality is to go, there is a good momentum and the converter are in good order. I also use it for my MPC1000 coupled between a compressor and a multi effect, the sound is to go, I have not experienced in quality loss. Regarding the South, I do not serve me, for against e / s spdif are of the same good quality.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for 2 weeks, I repeat nothing, it's a very good sound card, easy to use and very well made. The price quality ratio is unbeatable in my opinion, it is good to not very expensive, so I will have the choice again I will do it without any hesitation.

Perfect for Hi-Fi

Having previously purchased the Delta 44 that I found already qualitatively very good, I turned toward it because it has the ability to play sound encoded 24bit/192kHz.
M-Audio PCI card installed on a motherboard Gigabyte H55M, Intel i3 540 dual-core, 2GB RAM. Windows 7 32bit.

UTILIZATION

So I use to use 100% Hi-Fi connected Jack / RCA amp Denon PMA-2000AE, amplifying speakers Davis Cesar.
M-Audio is installed under Windows 7. The drivers are very stable. I put a buffer size of 512 samples.
Playback software is foobar2000 distributing data to the sound card via the WASAPI module to bypass its own Windows (resampling) treatment. I put a latency of 1030ms in software to...…

GETTING STARTED

Installation is-not-be-simpler. The latest drivers are easily downloadable on the French site of M-Audio.

OVERALL OPINION

The price of the opportunity now is frankly more than a bargain. In today's world where music is synonymous with e, listen to music from your PC has become commonplace. M-Audio Delta Audiophile 192 very advantageously replaces a CD player upscale. The sound definition is exemplary in all registers. The bass is strong, precise and deep. The stamps are warm.
We feel the difference in quality from a file from a CD to a classic edition Master file encoded 24bit and 96KHz, for example.
We think too little about what kind of solution for Hi-Fi was wrong.
Buying a DAC as an interface between the computer and hi-fi system is fully redundant with the M-Audio.
The real high quality for a cheap price.

What characteristics have motivated your choice?

I was looking for a sound card in PCI (once inserted into the PC you think about it more, no USB or FW connections ...) with some input / output, but mostly for monitoring outputs. The configuration of this card is exactly what I wanted.

For what purpose?

Home studio (some movies from time to time, but this is incidental).

What instruments or systems you use it? ...

Used with Samplitude Pro Suite X in a PC on steroids (I use a lot of vsti, some very heavy with lots of audio processing to the mix).

What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / RAM / Disk, ...)?

CM: ASUS V-P8Z77
CPU: Intel I7 3770 (3.40 Ghz)

UTILIZATION

The drivers are stable?

No problems with the drivers. I downloaded those present on the M-Audio website, because those supplied with the card are ageless! I'm running 64-bit Seven.

GETTING STARTED

The installation is done it without problem?

Too easy! I had already installed the drivers prior to receiving the card (see above). I simply inserted the card into the PCI slot and that's all folks! No installation on Seven, it's pure plug and play, unlike xp or vista.

Have you encountered any incompatibilities?

No. Samplitude immediately took charge, as Kontakt and Hearing.

The general configuration is easy?

Few not be simpler. A simple panel for level I / O, monitoring and hardware (sample rate ...)

The manual is clear and sufficient?

Not read. Unnecessary.
