Fender Mustang IV
I believe that the Mustang series is the flagship line for amp modelers that Fender is putting out. They now have several different sizes and wattage. These units are some of the best sounding modelers out on the market and definitely Fender's best efforts in this game.

I have never been a fan of amp modeling since I feel they don't sound authentic or feel at all like a real tube amp. This particular model doesn't change my mind but it does sound good for what it is.

These amps sound particularly good with Fender guitars. I like hearing this amp with a Fender Stratocaster or a Charvel. I like hearing the low to medium bodied woods with these particular amps. A great feature with these amps is not only the ability to have amp modelers, but also the stompbox models as well. This gives you a real feel for tossing a overdrive pedal in front of a Fender style amps.

Another great features in running your speaker simulated output direct into a recording device or house PA system. I think the amp sounds the best when in this situation. Running the direct out into the mixer sounds best in my opinion.

This amp is super loud. Coming in at 150 watts this little combo will knock you on your butt. This is also a more expensive unit for the amp modelers. At new these units come in at around $500. sort of on the high side for these types of amps.

I would recommend this amp for someone who needs everything in one small amp. For the people that come in this price rage would probably buy something else like a real tube amp. But for those who can talk your mom into getting this for you will be happy.

Fender Mustang IV
A transistorized amp modeling 150 Watts RMS, 2 channels, a stereo effects loop, an AUX input, a headphone output and 2 footswitch (one provided the most complete FS4 is nice)
it's heavy it grows strong it's an amp that can not operate in a small room without any problems.
It has 2 HP 12-inch Celestion, considering the price they did not have the most prestigious brand speaker but I appreciated the intention not to give in to the siren and to profit HP low-end.
A comprehensive set a production quality for a price that is affordable.

In use I had some difficulty made my own preset directly to the amp.
But there are many possibilities difficult to have your cake and eat it too, however the USB interface with the Fender Fuse is very successful and much more intuitive software to adjust, save and share presets.

The clean sound is excellent warm type fenderien as is the custom called
No wonder you say?
The transistor amplifiers often provide clear sound better defined than the amps lamp.
The tone controls are effective (Treble, Middle, Bass) there is little to add to the clear sound effects all integrated into the amp (reverb chorus flanger delay etc ....)
The effects on the whole are quite convincing only the reverb asked me a few problems but not on the quality of escalation or adjustment is easily pass anything too strong.
The Mustang does not have distortion per se, but the modeling of 12 numbers are pretty good I think even an accomplished guitarist swearing by amps more expensive lamps and much less versatile find fun to use .
Distribution modeling is well thought out in order the more vintage Fender Vox Marshall florets and most modern versions of mesa boogie kind for a metal sound.
vintage models for me are much more accomplished than the more modern messy

I bought the Mustang IV in February 2013

I owned a Line 6 Jam Spiser who passed away at the end of four years of use

The Plus - This amplifier is undoubtedly an excellent value for money.

Minus - the Headset Jack 3.5 taking

I was looking for a versatile amp quality without ruining me it meets my expectations.

I sold this amp a few months to acquire a hybrid of the meme make the Super Champ X2 HD I did not need 150 watts in the living room a small head and a separate Cab are transported easily.
I advice for guitarists who need versatility and power for a very decent price ratio quality equipment
