Line 6 DT25 Head

What do you do when you build amp modeling units with effects and appear to have no idea how tube distortion sounds...you go get one of the best tube amp boutique builders in the world, Reinhold Bogner. Bogner design the good parts of this amp while Line 6 focused on the digitalization of the unit. It was a good move to combine the creative platforms of both companies. This is the same tone as the other amps in this series but just in a low wattage head version.

This amp is called a hybrid which uses tubes while in addition to digitalized operation. I have seen this amp in a live performance from Stryper and it was convincingly very good. I know that it sounded good and why a Line 6 distortion typically doesn't sound good I went home after the show to see what Line 6 was up to. All the while feeling like this had a very similar characteristic tone similar to Bogner amps. Sure enough I jumped on the Line 6 website to discover the tag team due for this design. They were using GMW guitars which were similar to Ibaneze and Flying V's....at least the builds they had. Each setup sounded killer.

OVERALL OPINION

I little bit pricey but two companies now have to get paid so to get one new you will have to cough up about $899. This will steer novices and beginners out of the equation and bump the market up to the more experienced players. It might have a hard time selling at that market since most people who would pay for a $1300 amp would not buy a Line 6, bu they would buy a Bogner so we'll see how it pans out.

If I got one of these new I'd keep it but I wouldn't spend the kind of money they are asking for this amp. I would save up a few hundred more dollars and get a Shiva or old Ubershall.

A hybrid amp (transistor + lamps) which delivers 25 watts or 10 watts.Comme any good amp: volume, bass, mid, etc. ... with master volume reverb (very efficient) on each channel (2).

You can select the type selector voicing (4 votes) `on each canal.C is to say: one voicing voicing on channel 1 and channel 2 on 2
Voicing 2 on channel 1 and channel 2 of 3 voicing
3 voicing on channel 1 and channel 2 on voicing 4
voicing 4 on channel 1 and so on .......

Output into 4 ohms, 8 ohms, 16 ohms ...

UTILIZATION

Easy of use, like any amp ... plug and play

In voicing one: we arrive at a sound enough Fender (clean, with reverb), well ...

In voicing 2: crunch sound rather British (Rolling Stone) .. very surprising ...

In voicing 3: quite disappointing, I do not think it looks like her ...

In voicing 4: a distortion to mesa boogie .... Very loan `s original ...

I put 8 because the three voicing that hast not convinced ... For other voicing, j `gives 10 ....

SOUNDS

Perfect for the kind of music I found joue.J `y` j everything I need to express my guitars (Gibson lespaul, musicman axis super sport).

For the types of sound, already mentioned above ....

OVERALL OPINION

I `ve been` the acquisition in June 2012 and I am not disappointed with my achat.Ce that I adore: the choice of voicing, it `sa 4 channel .... but it can only serve as 2, both ...

Did you try many other models before buying it?

I `d holds other amps (Mesa Boogie (2), Fender), so when I'm going to the store to make the purchase` I knew what I wanted as his ...

The quality / price is very justified ... When I `ve bought, I have found that it` was a bit expensive for 25 watts, but I am very satisfied with my purchase .... Thanks
