Small membrane condenser microphone. Packaging quality for the price.
Warning: the pair received was defective at Thomann (parasites on microphones). The pair was exchanged freely in a few days. It seems to me that this price level, they must overlook quality control .... delegate to the customers.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for more than a year. I have no reference point in this type of microphone, I can only compare against a wide range of membrane environment (SE 2200) and various dynamics including a very good TGX 60.
Very good record transients it seems, and overall sound bright enough. He bluffs on the folk guitar, drum overhead in on snare, percussion intruments (métalophone etc ...) but loud enough on recovery guitar amp that I prefer the TGX 60.
Very good investment for any home-studiste tight budget.

OVERALL OPINION

First day. Sound is impressive. Compared to my Rode NT3 the sc140 sounds better for everything I have tried so far - vocals, violin, percussion. I'm shocked at how clear and natural the sound is. I've now gone and bought a Tbone CC75 as a clip on condenser mic because I'm so incredibly impressed with the sc140. The CC75 gets great reviews too and rather than pay 250 Euros for a similar product I'm now very happy to risk my 38 Euros !
I want to add that I still find them very well - even on the club scene. I bought the CC75 and SC400 since then and they are all really good. For a small price they opens up a whole creative world.  The CC75 on violin is superb - shocking! (First time after about 8 years of effort that I have a TRUE violin sound)

OVERALL OPINION

I received them a few days ago ... not really had time to test them thoroughly.
That said, I think there is a great quality instrument in return ... I tried it on my accordion and it's more than adequate. I do XY and ORTF pairs, especially for the accordion ... I find the sound really stunning, a friend of mine was here the day I received them, he did not know the price, and just as he heard the sound he said he must buy himself a pair of these.... Then I told him the price, so he spent the next 5 minutes ordering them!
Yes, if these microphone were like 250 euros a piece, they would still have my admiration, moreover for 98 euros per couple! The suspension and a little plasticky, but the air is solid, I use it with my Rode SM4 suspensions. I'm in love, just like my SCT2000 brand. Yes good microphones at affordable prices exist.Well, you can't compare to neumann, but I'm sure they are comfortable with the studio projects, behringer ect ... and frankly may be the Oktava!
A friend of the SC180 T-Bone brand, which are monstrous too, but I was seduced by the -20dB, and I do not regret my choice !!!!

I am green! I have just one try in close miking on my accordion, and I made the same decision as my Rode NT3.
The NT3 is a little more gain ...
First astonishment, given my two tracks on Protools, the spectra were almost the same. I Verified the custom settings to be sure about not having assign the same output console with two entries!
The sound is almost identical between the two microphones, except on some bagpipe sounds good, or you feel a little high frquence medium on the Rode.
T Bone seem a little brighter ds 16000Hz, but I knit pick ...
In fact the only really obvious difference is that the microphones that have positioned right side, the SC140 cardio take me a little more left hand than it is Hypercardio Rode ... Normal What!

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for several months.

This microphone is very bright, almost too much for my taste.
having said that, it is very precise and I was no better on my acoustic guitar gear with the hardware I used before.
and does not really breath.
I had tried before the em700 of the same brand, I prefer the SC140.
I also tested octaves (I do not remember the models) and the quality was comparable ..... a little less bright with octava though.

quality price ratio?? unbeatable haha ​​... I mean ... a couple frankly very correct, with all the supplies for just the price of 58 euros......
Worst case if it sucked, I would just want a view of the low investment.

I would say that taken as a whole the ensemble is a little cheap (especially the plastic accessory)

I probably would upgrade soon as I am tempted by a pair of KM184 but it is all in the same category ...

Small diaphragm condenser microphone in Stereo couple. Atnuateur 0, -10 or-20dB. Low-cut filter 75 Hz or 150 are in fact copies of NT5. I saw it on some forum that NT5 capsules were also compatible (but I have not tried). Comes with bag, windshields, suspension, stereo bar  ... all that is needed.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months to record a bit of everything: tracking atmosphere, outdoor, indoor, flute, amp, voice, acoustic guitar. And everything goes well with a dynamic and a natural flavor! Warning around the directivity. Indeed they are cardio in the medium highs but hyper cardio in the highs so you must be careful where you point the mic!  I had a little trouble with one of the two microphones that had an abnormal breath at the purchase. I returned it to the Service Support and I received new ones in 1 week! Since then no worries.
I love these mics, I carry them around, they record everything and do it well.

Perfect! A mad gain, perception of details .... impressive ... Listening in on driect with Alesis Shure SRH440 ... perfect!

FYI autonomy between 30min and 1h with phantom power card Alesis USB Notebook! With some drums it's OK!

OVERALL OPINION

I am using them already for a week, preamplified by two different preamps fault to have one or two same two channels: MindPrint TRIO and MindPrint En-Voice MKII.
For 98 euros at ThoTho, I expected something bof bof full of background noise, no heat, nothing ...

So I plug it in, I turn on the preamp, I make the adjustments, I take my folk guitar and I launch Cubase ...

And then, surprise TO-TALE. These microphones, used in stereo, have a surprising warmth and precision. For that price, I'd never have expected as much.
Well, after, may be with low-end preamps, the result would be less surprising, but ... Here, I'm really surprised. My find of the month!

I give them 10/10, and I would repeat this choice without hesitation.

I find them excellent for: flamenco guitar, violin, viola, cello, overheads, snare (pads) condenser technology.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the sc 140 for 2 years already and I love it!
You can really put them on almost everything! (Few static with a-10dB PAD AND to - 20dB!)
I tried the sc 100, but soon one of two crashed.
The sc140 kit bag is full. Bonnets, suspension, coupling bar, and even 2 "elastic" parts for suspensions.
On my advice, 8 people have already been purchased it and have no regrets.
I would repeat this choice without hesitation.

Very good mic for miking various guitars, piano, percussion (marimba, xylophone), drums (overhead, snare), etc. ...
Not recommended for voice, even with the hoods, pops pass too easily.

These microphones are a very good value because they are very similar to NT5 (rumors are that they are pure copies).

I recommend it to anyone wanting to start building his home studio and with good microphones versatile.
I will choose to repeat this purchase without hesitation!
