    15 watt amp has transistor.
    clean and overdrive channel.
3-band eq (bass and treble outline)
a headphone jack and a line out
    reverb and fdd (imitation lamps)

    USE

    Very simple configuration.
bah with some knobs What the above it is very very hard to find the sound cherch ^^
more manual offers some SETTINGS simpa.

    SONORITS

It is ideal a little all styles of music.
The clean sound is pretty tout.il captures the sound of the guitar.
Overdrive is cool even if the distortion is cold enough, it tends to drool a bit on the sharp but everything is pretty convincing malger a slight lack of bass ...

    NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for a little over a year and frankly I'm not at all!
the clean sound is really convincing and the overdrive is not bad at all for a 15 watt! I essaier many amp before deciding me and I longtemp hsiter with 15 watt roland cube but I prefer sound marshall!
I buy into the rock marshall pack kit 230 has Andore and I'm not unhappy with my purchase !! parail sound for that amount is given!
I would do this choice again for a second !!

I bought this amp at Guitar Center last year for about $90. My previous Marshall amp had been stolen.

It's small and portable. The reverb function is useful.

My previous amp had also been a Marshall 15W (I remember it was called a "VT15", though I've since searched for the name and never found it), and it had sounded good whether it's just clean or with the Drive controls up. I was able to get a substantial amount of crunch by just turning it up, and my favourite way to use it became just natural distortion, especially for rhythm work. This MG15 doesn't even come close. It sounds "artificial", somewhat dead, without the dynamics and complexity of the previous amp. I'm pretty sure the difference is that the old amp was a valve amp (it had cost at least $170 in New York), and solid state just doesn't crank it, especially at this wattage.

Typical Marshall quality -- build quality is not the problem here.

I suppose the double whammy of "solid-state technology" and the 15-watt output just means that this is not a good-sounding amp. I love Marshall amps, but this ain't a winner. If you're gonna get an amp, get a better one (the AVT series looks far more promising). I've had this MG15CDR replacement for about six months and only played it maybe 10 times -- its poor sound just doesn't cut it. I'd rather deal with an extra cable and headphones and plug into my Line 6 Pod instead.

I bought it at Planet Music for 4999sk,that's a little less than 90bucks at today's exchange rate.It was a special offer or something. It was my first amp,in fact I wanted to buy a cheap Ibanez just for practice, but when I played this baby,I knew why Marshall is a legend.

Fantastic sound, clear sound.Good sounding reverb. The overdrive isn't exactly what I need but you can never satisfy everyone. It doesn't sound crappy at all,it just isn't my style.More like some blues or rythm metal at extreme settings. It has a nice look. And it's LOUD dammit, you just need a preamp,or any kind'a effects pedal and this baby rocks. It's loud enough to play with drums. The 30watt Marshall is surely big enough for …

    I'll write that below.Oh,and it hasn't got a footswitch.But I wouldn't use it anyway so I don't care.

Nice, but the typical shatter sound of the reverb strings occurs even when the amp is off and it didn't when it was new.It fell down on the ground really hard. But i can easily sit on the unit.Really sturdy. But looks weak.

Fantastic starting amp.Spend some extra $$$ and buy this thing,it's worth it!

I paid $500Au to get it in a pack with a starter Guitar but they're about $200-300 Au.

It looks and sounds quality and is great value for money. The clean is good and pure and it sounds awesome on single coils. push the OD button and be blown away. it has awesome gain and goes pretty lound for a 15 watt. You can get anything from a vintage tone, to a death metal assault of gain and volume. The reverb gives beatiful depth but isn't too good for the heavier sounds. Crank up the gain and scoop the mids and tapping and harmonics become a sinch. A great studio and practise amp. can compete with drums fairly easily. No footswitch jack. Could be louder. Quite weighty and big for a 15 Watt.

Great construction, i've had it for 9 months and i havent had one problem.

This is a great practise amp and i rcommend it to anyone thats looking for an affordable Marshall that still packs a punch.

Basically, my old small practice amp had blown, too much fuzz for it through my zoom 505. I went along to my local guitar shop, and had a look around, i finally decided on the MG15CDR over a standard MG15CD, due to the reverb, which i will come to later.
I paid £88 for the amp, which is list price, as nowhere in the UK (online that is) has them below this price.

For the price, this is a superbly well built amp, for practice, and the small gig environment. It is far superior to my kustom KLA16R, which has the same features, no real difference when clean, it is clear and has as much depth as you want. The difference occurs when the distortion is turned on. My guitar (an epiphone les paul custom) gives a superb sound and when reverb is added a beautiful and deep sound is created. All round a good amp

Occasional random feedback when the distortion is max, i haven't experienced this on any other amps on which ive played, but this isn't often, and so doesnt matter too much. The FDD button although good, is seemingly pointless, as it only seems to up the volume slightly, with only a slight depth increase. Not enough reverb for the 'surf'style sound on clean, just enough twang!

Superbly well built, adequate clearance on the knobs etc, seemingly well constructed, doesnt have the 'im gonna fall apart after one gig' sort of feel!!!

top class amp, for practice and smaller gig environments, well worth the investment over the MG15CD

I purchased this amp after reading all the reviews I could get find and reading that the MG series was a great amp for the price. I purchased it at a local store for $100.

When I first saw the amp it really has the look of something well built. Upon getting it home I was surprised to see a well written manual which had some guidance on how to set up the various knobs for different types of music. I always like when you get literature with a purchase so I was pleased that this one had more than just cursory information. Then I plugged my Epiphone Les Paul into it. Upon getting it home I was surprised to see a well written manual which had some guidance on how to set up the various knobs for different types of music. I always like when you get literature with a purchase so I was pleased that this one had more than just cursory information. Then I plugged my Epiphone Les Paul into it. The sound was extremely clear on the clean channel and the overdrive sounded great. I especially liked this amps ability to play at low volumes with out loosing its sound quality. I also did not find a point where the was a drastic change in volume. This was the case on the Crate amp I own so it either was too loud or too soft.
After playing into it with no affects I hooked up a Zoom 505 to it. The sound was definitely different than through the Crate as it seems to be much clearer even at low volumes. I then played along to some of my favorite CD’s and the sound rang through beautifully and the precise volume control let me match my output to the volume of the stereo.

It is a small amp so I do not think it would be good for playing out anywhere but for a home practice amp it is perfect.

As far as things that I don’t like well at this point there are none. Its cost was in line with virtually every other amp of this size and output, and the quality of its construction appears to be very good. I guess if I were to complain about anything I would say that the faceplate for all the knobs and plugs should face upward more. It is a small amp and to plug in and use the dials you have to get down on the floor to see what is what. Once you get used to where everything is I am sure that is not a problem. The Crate was the same so this is more of a grip than a problem.

The construction and quality appear to be above average

I am completely pleased with this purchase as for its size and cost it really is a great amp.

I must tell that Peyvey and Fender amplifiers have not been in the game compared to this Marshall, even for units that had 30 or 50 watts.

The sound is rich and if you turn on the volumes of this unit, people sitted in your appartment will have problem to talk together. I like the small equilizer and the pre-amp that give more setting to my sound.

No problem with it so far; well is true that I have had it for only one month.

Like my dealer told me, a Marshall is a Marshall; the top quality in the music world. I agree with him. The sound of this unit is definitly the best compared to the Pevvey and Fender amplifiers I tried before buying my Marshall. Do not hesitate to pay a few bucks to buy this unit.

I paid about £85 for the amp in a local guitar shop

The clean tone is rich and convincing, and you can achieve a reasonable distortion level with the gain controls. You can hear everyone of it's 15W's when you crank it up, and I'm sure they squeezed a few more in somewhere...it's size is an obvious plus, being able to fit in just about anywhere (it's about a 1/3 again as big as my SP-10, and compared with the shockingly bad sounds that thing can produce the Marshall is worth the extra room). The CD input is also useful for jamming, and the line-out makes it a breeze to record straight out of it.

Not an awful lot to be honest, considering the price and the fact it wasn't made to rock in a 30,000 seater stadium. The headphone output is definitely not all that it could be, in my experience - slightly too tinny, too much background noise and not enough of the much-vaunted 'contour' coming through. And the speaker output is a bit harsh when I turn my MT-2 on, even with a small level of distortion set and little gain set on the pre-amp. But it doesn't cause a great deal of trouble, and it still sounds fine.

What I've come to expect from Marshall. The corners are rounded off with protective covers, and the unit feels solid. I'd be ok ferrying it back and fore here, there and everywhere.

For the price tag and the type of amp it is you couldn't ask for much more from it...it would be nice to feel less wary of plugging my headphones into it, but that's a minor flaw in an otherwise great unit. If you want a solid practice amp without breaking the piggybank, let alone the bank, I'd say your money's safe with this.

What like about this amp, it could be its price (when getting stronger ... marshall becomes less accessible) and it is really great for beginners, it can be set to the same level as the Fender Frontman 15R (I still have a small preferences for this amp), but has the right to swear by marshall!
