The RGX 520 FZ is "powered" by two Yamaha Alnico V humbuckers mounted on a flamed maple top and solid mahogany body.

Ergonomics is worked. While not perfect it is good, others are better, but in the series of hybrid Les Paul / Strat we have seen much worse. The body is really thick and heavy, but the cut and carved table serve.
The sound "unplugged" is not bad, good sustain. For the vacuum I'd say 7 / 10 rating is pretty close to reality. There are better, but there is also much worse.
This is a guitar beautifully designed, the approval is good and the finish of the most significant. But I must admit that the Alnico V is passable. For a guitar at this price (420 euros) is quite normal: the violin was stolen heute, microphones and otherwise weaklings would have been regrettable.
The RGX 520 FZ is a very good starting point for serious customization. Yamaha has chosen to produce an instrument healthy and of good quality but the choice of microphones are disappointing. Given the price, I thank Yam not falling into the trap "of violin pickups but m **** brand."

In a small Epiphone Valve Junior is hot, surprisingly round and slamming.

After extensive testing in various shops (and thus very different amps) I fell for this big 520FZ. It is the mixture LP / Strat who finally convinced me, the son of guitar and squat bodybuildée that promises big sound good with a nice finish.
She is beautiful in black translucent (the table shows much less flamed over mine on the red version), but really heavy. Be warned, it's almost as heavy as a Les Paul the great grandfather (yes, Grandpa, farpaitement).
A violin top, a very good acastillage, a serious e ... but the cheap microphones. If you want the guitar to the rhythm and much thicker than a change of pickups put you off, you have before you a very nice scratch!
The price / quality ratio is very good. How? you just said that the microphones were bad! Certe yes. But the violin is well above the guitars two to three times more expensive. As I said, my ex Gibson US-1 was not at that level.
The quality / price ratio is above top by changing the pickups: 420 euros + 150 / 200 euros guitar pickups give you a guitar as good as much scratching at 800/1000 euros. I could not be more serious if you do not believe me, go test it on the field!
For now my score will stay glued to 6 / 10. Again I am horribly severe.
