Channel 2 is a real crunch channel, no overdrive or distortion, but this channel is not used often (the clean channel with pedal crunch is advisable)

amp Ragit trs well with pedals for overdrive / distortion (BOSS BD2, SD1, DS1, Tube Screamer ...) which finally allows to obtain a versatile style couillu (a not mean saturation background).

I play Rock, Rock / Blues, and Hard to Start, Les Paul and Tl. Whatever the type of guitar used, the sound is to go. The clean channel is fantastic. 40 watts is not much you say? I was a performer 1000 (100 watts transistor) and this one in terms of volume the itch for it.

The sound is terrible! For clean sounds, crystal clear sound that blends well with my scratch trs (a Fat Start us), the drive is trslger, do not expect a Marshall drive type! However, the amp cash pedals extremely well (for my part, I have a maxon od 9 and a big muff).
It's a typical fender trs, some even in the prfrent twin!

I play blues, funk, rock, conviends it perfectly clear at the sound, I play it with a Southwestern Deluxe Fat Start, and a C77 LB CS3, everything sounds in this amp!
The bass are present, the sound is round, bright and warm at the same time, short for clean fender it is served!
The drive channel has its advantages too, but I'm still a fan less than clean!

OVERALL OPINION

Very good amp, powerful, super clean sound, I still find a ZE distos and pedals for crunch!

Easy adjustment (presence, bass, middle, treble, drive, reverb), but not accurate.

UTILIZATION

Simple setup at first but once you pushed hard I had to find the appropriate setting (normal tell me).
The HP may seem limited, but it is enough to test the INPUT 2, operate in not the "bright normal" etc ... to make the most of its grain and vintage blues well.
The clean is beautiful, always bluesy, it activates the TS9 and there it sounds severely garage.

For my part, I use single coil channel 2 with the "bright normal" activated and back twice (vs. Jaguer Jazzmaster Classic Player HH).

OVERALL OPINION

I have for over two years.
What I like most is its texture, beautiful and clear sound ideal for the garage when saturated. The less is its weight but it's a combo bin so it's normal and if there is lack of precision of the buttons.

I tried a few models like Orange Rocker 30, a hot rod, a blues deville etc ... the last two are closer and less typed the blues deluxe for my taste. Orange has no effects loop, no reverb, and costs a fortune so I quickly made my choice. Otherwise I tried a Peavey Delta Blues and is very very good surprise is quite a competitor, cheaper but less reliable as saying.

Level quality / price ratio, it is aligned on competition but on some sites it is German or English is at a great price.

If you are into blues rock or mild rock tones then this is the amp for you. If you play pop music or something similar to Coldplay then this amp will be right up your alley.

If you enjoy the tones and voicing of the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp but want a warmer for vintage style tone then this is the amp for you. I have been a fan of the Hot Rod deluxes for quite some time now. This amp is on par with that amp with the full rich bodied tone that is so reminiscent of records of old

SOUNDS

The tone you get get with this amp is remarkable! It is jangly and dirty but will never play something out side of your guitar's natural tone. It compliment the tone of your guitar and doesn't take on a new character. The ultimate tone for this amp is a Fender Stratocaster and maybe a Ibanez TS9 or some other tubescreamer. This will get you a solid driving tone that just slams the front end of the band mix. Plus with with the extra dirty channel you can get even dirtier than that. Although I must say that the crunch channel of this amp is fair weak and sterile sounding. So my recommendation is to use a overdrive pedal slamming the front of the amp.

OVERALL OPINION

If you are into the blues style tone and voicing and want a solid durable gigging amp then this is about the best you can get aside form some boutique builder. The tone is warm and full of driving blues tones that will get you excited to come home from work just to play the thing.

At new these amps come in at around $750 which isn't a bad price. I am not sure if these units are made in Mexican or America. They used me American but at some point I know the Hot Rods switched toe Mexico.

UTILIZATION

All channels, the peculiarity of this amp is the surgical precision of sound. Guarantee of high quality. The clean is simply sumptuous. Very bluesy on it, but at the same time it fits well with everything. The crunch going very well, always very precise very dynamic, fat or sharp or bland.

Indirect comparison with Peavey Delta Blues and Orange Rocker 30
I own the DeltaBlue few years now, and that is to replace as I am led to all these tests. The comparison is not the easiest (spent lamps ... I do not remember most of the original sound), but knowing that I had not bought the light I remember a great amp that stays in the same lineage. With perhaps a little less precision, a clean equally warm, but low overflowing when properly adjusted.
The rocker 30 was another blow to the heart, but the price, there is no switch, reverb, loops, in clean form of equalizer that even if the sound is fine (much shot british rock) the criteria disposal are very numerous.
