E-MU TRACKER PRE-USB 2.0

I chose this card to get a better latency with a MIDI keyboard at first.
I used the onboard sound card on my motherboard and it worked very well.
My machine is a dual core intel E8400 running at 3GHz normal. 2 GB of RAM and a 10,000 RPM Velociraptor hard drive.
So for all this software mao, the latency of the MIDI keyboard to record and instruments connected to the 6.35 adaptable.

UTILIZATION

I use the drivers are stable and therefore the last date of 2007.
I turn to 4 ms in Reason as it goes a little below.
And I record with the sonar, recording wave 96000 HZ Stereo 24 bit for a piano.
It will be possible to add an instrument I never tested in any case the jacks used to connect to just about any type jack 6.35 or large wide that are clipped by turning.

GETTING STARTED

No worries installation of the driver manufacturer's website is compatible seven.

I use it for two years, is a card that not many functions but the functions that have the merit of working well.
It was a great value for money two years ago (110 €)
I can not compare with what is being done because I do not want me more aware. So I do not know if I remake that choice.

Motivation for choice need to make audio jacks with APEX 415 condenser microphone.
Self-powered USB port. Low latency ASIO driver with the announcement.
Config: ASUS X73 brand new PC, P 8600 Core2Duo, 4GB RAM, 2x 300 GB HDD, Screen 17 "... on WIN XP SP3
Impossibility of my card rutiliser ECHO Indigo IO PCMCIA slot as standard on most new phones.
DAW: FL Studio 8 XXL, using VSTi synths and effects.

Quality of support E-MU: medium, they provide avenues for debugging but I found the solution alone (see below).

GETTING STARTED

Installation: 1 month and a half dbuggage, relationship with support for E-MU US, making head unbearable! The ASIO driver supplied by E-MU trs worked evil in low latency (<20 ms), a grsillait after 40 50 seconds then the sound s'arrtait. I tried everything (update via the website E-MU install on config Vita ...), nothing. J'tais have to use the driver Asio4All, which worked but gave rguliers cracking.
Ultimately, it is through a forum that I found the solution: DPC Latency checker.

I needed a sound card in order to properly record the guitar tracks and bass with low latency. Tracker Pre and does it very well.

I wish I had I / O MIDI for this product.

UTILIZATION

I produce my songs on FLStudio 8 and Ableton Live.

I can get a low latency (about 10ms) without problems. The computer on which I record / edit my pieces are not very powerful, I am sometimes forced to increase the latency to avoid cracking.

GETTING STARTED

The CDs provided allow easy installation of drivers required to run the sound card under Windows. However, no official Linux driver.

Configuration is also a simple way.

OVERALL OPINION

For the price that I bought this product (€ 50), I must say I'm quite satisfied. I use it for over a year now and this choice I would do without hesitation.
