Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007
I run ableton 8 and Logic 9 and there have been no compatibility issues so far.  Smooth running a smooth sounding.  The manual is pretty short and sweet, but it gives you all the basic knowledge you will need to get up and running.  All of the parameters are right in front of you so that's nice, and the general setup/configuration is not too bad.  I like how they break it down into categories (i.e. perform, edit, global) and give you sub-categories in each.  This makes the whole interface less convoluted and therefore easier to use.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Yes, the software works great on my macbook with the earlier mentioned programs.  So far, I have never had a single crash or any of my user presets disappear.  The performance on this thing is also great.  It will give you huge rich sounds and it never taxes my cpu (macbook 2.2ghz, 4gb ram, 320hdd).  For that, I give it a 10 out of 10.  I have been using this plugin for about 3 months.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like best about this plugin is you get three awesome sounding synths.  It includes the Mono/Poly, PolySix and M-20 modular synth, but the best part is they give you another interface to operate all three at the same time, Genius!!!  I guess that options is not super important for recording, but using this plugin live, the "multi interface" is super sweet.  It has great organization ability and makes running different combinations of synths/effects very smooth.  Another thing I thought was pretty cool was the option to see the whole keyboard on your screen, or just the editable parameters.  At first glance I thought all the knobs were to tiny to operate and was very disappointed.  Then I looked a little closer and saw the "edit" button and it was heaven ever since.  There is nothing I don't like about this plugin so far.  I paid around $200 for this package and I am very happy with it.  I used to own a Korg TR and a Korg X5DR module.  I really enjoyed all the synth patches in those guys but the realistic samples (i.e. piano, rhodes) were very weak.  After selling those off, I bought both the analog and the digital legacy collections and now I have those sounds back.  What's even better is that the plugins are so much easier to edit, especially compared to the X5DR.  Yes, I would definitely make the same choice.  If I had the money, I would hunt down the real hardware versions of these synths, but until then, these will do just fine.

Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007
The Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 is a virtual synth that emulates the hardware version of a Korg analog synth from the 1980s.  It has a number of different emulations within this one synth.  I didn't have any problems installing the software and it has always run smoothly on the system that I have used it on.  I didn't have any compatibility problems and since installing it I haven't had any problems with anything related to installation or otherwise.  The interface of the software is pretty user friendly because everything is laid out so that you can find the typical functions easily.  This being said, it will probably take you a little while to learn everything that this software has to offer simply because the features and parameters available are vast.  The manual is put together well and is helpful to learn everything about the Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 software.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I am currently running the Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 on a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM.  I find that I am to run this as a stand alone quite easily with this configuration, but I do notice that this will take up a good amount of processing power, so make sure that your system exceeds the minimum requirements that they recommend to run this software.  As long as you have a good system I don't see a reason why you would have problems running the Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007.

OVERALL OPINION

I haven't been using the Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 for all that long, but I can definitely say that this is a great sounding piece of software that is infinitely powerful.  You can get all sorts of synth sounds, all of which are quite realistic.  The price isn't expensive at all and for this reason I would highly recommend picking this up especially if you are a fan of the hardware synth that this emulates.  If if you aren't familiar with it I think that anyone looking for a good sounding virtual synth should try this out for sure...

Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007
The only conflict I've found is with the software control of the Lexicon MX200. The protection system for USB flash drive was painful, but this new version seems more flexible on this point.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

PPC G5 Dual 2.5 with mLAN, and 01X I88x. Cubase SX3

OVERALL OPINION

The price of the upgrade for owners of KLC and even KDC (digital collection) is a little ridiculous, right? Just for a synth more ... Too bad, because KLC and KDC are amazing pack.

So quality / price ratio: 0

Install without any problem, I have not encountered any incompatibilities, I have not used the manual.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use a MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz with 4GB of Ram MAUDIO Fasttrack that I will soon be changed to a Motu Ultralite.

I mainly use the Polysix, I actually bought it because I was playing on a "real" Polysix who died and so I threw myself into the virtual. Performance on this plug is very good.

I use the plugin in Live6 and I occasionally drop a few small problems (but it's more due to my master keyboard and the USB connection).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year +, What I like most is to recall the feeling of my old Polysix. By assigning the knobs on my keyboard teacher I found all the settings and all possible effects.

The least we can say something obviously lacking in the sound, the breath? that's for sure I have more, but yes, the grain of the sound is not the same, but it suits me anyway.

The price / quality ratio is quite correct.

I would do the choice without hesitation.
