The bomb!
I use a Macbook pro 2012 under Mountain Lion / Logic 9 mainly I bought there is only a little more than a month.

UTILIZATION

Easy installation, super stable for the moment.

I saved up to 12 tracks simultaneously using among others a OctaMic in adat.
Incidentally, the 4 preamp TC are the same level as sacrosanct holy RME ...

Latency is excellent and muscular with my recent computer (i7 SSD / 16GB of ram ...)

I record guitars and basses, synths analos, my piano, and voice most often.
I use many virtual instruments as well. No problem, on the contrary, the card is forgotten, and even better, its clever design and comprehensive often brings very useful solutions.

Management software of the card is perfectly clear and comprehensive routine.
I insist on the remote, unique, it's fun !!!!

OVERALL OPINION

I have used dozens of cards in his or colleagues in various studios or structures or I "committed" to music (M audio, RME, Apogee, Prismsound Orpheus ...). This TC certainly at the end of the career level of the best for sure.
I do not trade it especially for a Fireface 800, which is rumored sounds better (we made several blind tests with several different professionals, no one has ever heard of difference to the ear) but has not the tenth functions and comfort of this TC (volume output, 2 independent headphone outputs, killing Plugs, REMOTE GENIALE) !!!!!
A € 499 is just amazing !!!! a must!

I bought it for the I/O's and desktop remote, & on-board DSP. Use it to interface DAW to console bi-directionally. [soundtracs cm4400 32track]. & sometimes plug straight in [bass/mics/guitar/harware synths]. Good analog+ADAT connectivity via FW400. PC running w7,i7 cpu, ddr3 6gb, 3x1T Hd. Reaper, Cubase . [tc ASIO driver]. Used in a recording studio for 4 years.

UTILIZATION

stable drivers. slightly dicey install with previous versions, but sorted on latest version, always stable once installed though. Run 128 latency with up to 120 tracks & about 200 vst's before needing to change to 256 [unless running heavy duty vst's which chokes the cpu earlier]. Use REAPER now, and Cubase previously. Driver mature, and no further updates needed.

GETTING STARTED

There are all functions on the TC settings menu on screen, and mixer pages, remote assignment etc...
On the unit are the trims for the 4 front-panel xlr's, their pad, and +48v accross them on a switch.

OVERALL OPINION

good sound with precise dynamics and good stereo spread, spaces sound real. No hiss. good pre's. had creamware scope xtc, and a yamaha 01x, and a protools AM3 prior to this card. May one day upgrade to the ssl AX madi stuff, but very happy with this card.

I would do it no choice, because of the fragilié product, a headphone jack worked, albeit more recent days.

I bought this card at the age of the shortage of RME.

this card is very good to mix very simple, with a control surface Assistant.
If the use of the card must be at its maximum input / output I recommend putting a bit more and go on the RME Fireface 800 bcp more reliable (and it sounds better)

Not the only one that had the CHARACTERISTICS I needed the era (now there is the RME Fireface UFX (but tlcommande is not just a gadget on the TC) I a TC Konnekt 24D j'apprciai before and the quality of pre-amp but I need more of.

Map 24in/out (12 in / out and 12 analog in / out digital), 4 high-quality preamps. Firewire connection. Multipurpose ethernet cable remote on.
I use it with a couple TonePort UX8 (excellent map also complementary with its amp models and preamps and converters of high quality stereo mix sent to the analog input 5 and 6 of 48), a studio preamp Joemeek TwinQ in analog 7 / 8, and a PC Athlon X64 3200 + coupled with cubase 4, 3GB RAM and 500GB HDD.

Side quality / quantity / price, it's hard to do more, especially with the remote control and DSP ¨ which allow the use Fabrik C effects (two instances) and Fabrik R (1 instance), which alone cost 300 € each. Not to mention the other plugs provided. If we did a quick calculation it is clear that pays virtually no interface if one combines the price of the supplied plugs ... Which is quite nice ...

UTILIZATION

Install once, reboot, and it is running. No conflict, implementation of plug-ins a bit complicated the first time, once we understand that traveling alone.

OVERALL OPINION

I received it last week. It's a great interface, drivers, despite what you read here and there are stable (at least to me, and I do not think being alone on this one, but are still disappointed that more noise happy). Side price / quality ratio is excellent in view of all that is provided (DSPs, plug-ins, remote control ...), a note especially for preamps that are really very high level: clean, detailed, Quiet, powerful. In short, real versatile preamps deliver you to have more if your budget does not allow it. I have other personal preamps and I guards, but work only with those of the Konnekt not bother me beyond measure, however. They are among the best preamps I've tried on acoustic instruments, for example (it is not in the detail and scope of a UA LA-610, but we must admit that's all also excellent). Short of any purchase from TC, breathtaking in terms of audio quality, it was for less than € 1200 a real pro audio interface, 4 good preamps, a conversion AD / DA high-level (equivalent to apogee), a Comprehensive connectivity and DSP plug associated ... In terms of least because it must (but you will see, this is really minor ...), the phantom power supply bundle on the 4 preamps that will not connect a microphone to tape at the same time a static if it is fed by the card ... Personally, I never use a microphone to tape, so good ... I will not remove a point for that ... And if I use one, anyway I have a lot of possibilities to connect it to other preamps in my studio, then re-good ... In short a good (excellent) card. This is the part a little dcevante compared to my old stuff. I go down with a 10ms buffer of 64 samples, which is a bit risky when you add layers of plugins. The CPU goes up fast enough. A 192 samples, is mounted immediately 15ms on my config. Compar a firebox that is the same rglage 4ms, it means, but is bearable, given the direct monitoring.

For now my max is 6 (4 + 1 synth Stereo mic), and I do not need more.

I put 8 because of the latency leve, as did do a lot of manipulations supplmentaires when recording. I used to activate the monitoring fawn magntophone in Cubase, and with 15ms is enough dsagrable. Otherwise, everything else dchire.

I read a lot! I have a 01x, an Audiophile USB and an prsonus Firebox. It does not all done the same court, but can be an IDE.

Unbeatable, given the quality of this interface. This is a real massacre. Above all, take the remote! It's really convenient, the ball serves as Controller gnral volume / control room / Sun / etc ... ACCS buttons allow direct CONTRL the volume of the DAW, diffrent of entry, to, the retou reverb, short ... This is the BALL!

I really chose this card with the number of outputs, it was one of those I know who has the most (12 analog, ADAT 2, 2, Digi, making a total of 30 E / S, not bad!)

-No problems installing, recognized IMMEDIATE card, update the firmware, reboot and it Partii!

I use Cubase 5 and 5 times Reason in rewire on a PC rather musclje must be a 5ms buffers with a 256, sometimes with twenty tracks, no worries, a dcroche do not.
I have not tried to record more than 8 tracks at the same time, but nothing to report until eight.

- BIG LEAST: The S. ..... the knobs of M. .. before the fae!
: The four knobs that control the pramps on the front of the card are of very poor quality, has crachouille or outright does not work ... move to the SAV oblig.Bon point, however: TC take over the free alternative, but still ....

Apart from this concern about the knobs of pramps, this card is a killer, once it's configured bonheur.Pour I have need of many of this card is quite essential, I would do so this choice without hsiter.

Choice motivated by the number of inputs / outputs, routing, quality converters D / A. I use it on PC with Reason and Reaper, with multiple synthesizers and effects inputs. I use the built-in effects mainly to complete the pieces. Edit: Do not rely on the units preamps. After the first failure (3 of 4 knobs broken), a month of repairs, two preamps are dead again. In short, the line is good for mics (though seldom actually used) it was shit. Edit2: «remake, without compensation from the TC, the card is declared normal. I tested in store, it works. 4 days, repanne.

Edit3: fast and efficient repair in denmark. You just avoid the French Service.

UTILIZATION

The installation ..... you plug it works. No incompatibility, configuration very easy. Edit: entries amplified card fall permanently stranded, it takes four weeks to repair mini, when they deign SAV repair.

The drivers are stable, do not hesitate to chopper beta versions. Updates regularly. I work without a problem 8ms latency 96kHz.
Story by Fabrik plugins are often put in a row when it falls below VST 20ms latency ... not for the live. It's a shame, the reverb is killer.
64-bit drivers available then, but still unstable in windows (WDM plant after several hours of listening)

OVERALL OPINION

I wish I could say more, but everything has already been said in the test Audiofanzine. Intensive use for over 6 months. Integrated effects magnificent, the following are no longer valid: a flawless finish ... a choice I would do without problems several times. Edit: the knobs fell to stranded preamp (3 of 4), and classic problem identified in CT. No problem for the management, but more than a month to repair, it's much too much when the problem is already identified. Edit2: Two preamp again stranded. This map is not reliable. Edit3: 5 weeks later, I return my card declared trouble free. Tested in store, it works, four days later, re down. At the shabby quality of the material is added the insult of their customer service french. Eventually the map was corrected to 1.5 weeks in denmark (we emphasize once again the superb performance of the French VAS) and since it works. (At the same time they changed the preamp and knobs convertos ....)

This card is awesome when it works, you have to see if you can tolerate repeated failures or not.
