What is so special that you love the most, least? I love his sense now! I m'xplique; in the past, I was working in Cubase for components and a small ProTools MP to the mix. A new version of each for Logic I tried, but no, did not understand it, too used to the interface and the logic of Cubase. A version 9 I decided to buy an Imac for first rose from PC to Mac then buy Logic Express to put myself seriously. A few months after I sold went to Cubase and Logic Studio. I never leave this program with which I do what I want. It just asked for some time. I am delighted and really did not feel they have wasted my time learning new software from A to ... Y
I'm even training on the software now ...

How would you rate the quality / price? Now available for € 199 on Istore is a product that overshadows these competitor I think at this price. The question is what Apple will do with the next version which is expected soon to appear.

With experience, you do again this choice? Without hesitation, no.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

MAC PRO DUAL CORE 4 gigs of RAM.

Everything is fluid, dual core resources are sufficient to run the aplli even asking a lot of effects and virtual instruments.

No bugs to report at this time.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since the day it came out and I had version 8 on my previous mac but this version works with Intel processors. I do not like the updates. So I bought the complete package.

The price is particularly attractive in terms of what we could pay for version 7.

Apple released the new version we are the same as the previous one.

Simple installation without any problems. It was an upgrade from Logic Pro 7. There is no paper manual, which a shame!

I have already worked on Cubase, Digital Performer and Protools also.
This is an upgrade (from 7 to 9) which is vraimenle time, the new features are numerous. He also certain features that it lacked compared to the competition.
I would not work with other software of Music, Logic Studio 9 running perfectly with Apogee Ensemble (Apogee and Motu 2408MKIII AD8000SE + + 24 I / O)

Logic Studio 9 is Apple’s latest version of their famous Logic DAW. The package includes Logic Pro 9, MainStage 2, Soundtrack Pro 3, tons of plug-ins and various production utilities to help you further polish your sound. This version combines the stability of Logic Pro 8 with the additional features of FlexTime, Amp Designer and a couple of other cool things.

If you’ve never a professional DAW before, Logic may be a bit overwhelming. However, it’s far more intuitive than most other DAWs out there, in my opinion. The colors are easy on your eyes, it’s highly customizable, contains logical placements of various tools and makes it easy to get a professional sound without having to go through too many tutorials just to learn how to record.

Flex Time is a new feature that Logic Pro 9 brings to the table. It’s pretty much like Pro Tools’ Elastic Audio, but I find it works a bit better. The detection of timing seems to be more intelligent, and that’s the biggest advantage I’ve found. Aside from that, it’s very similar, so anybody who is coming from Pro Tools shouldn’t have too many issues getting used to the new DAW.

Logic Pro 9 also brings some guitar modelers to the table with the help of Amp Designer. I’m usually critical of modelers out there, especially ones built into DAWs, and this is no exception. It’s really not that great for high gain tones, and it seems to be more centered towards clean to low gain tones. I’m hoping Apple with further develop this, but we’ll see what happens.

All in all, the DAW is a nice upgrade from Logic Pro 8, but some features do leave you wondering why you paid so much for an upgrade. If you’re happy with Logic 8, stick with that. Otherwise, check out the upgrade. Flex Time has been a lifesaver for me, personally.

The configuration does not change too much when you're used to Logic 8.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Uses a Mac Pro Quad 2.66, 6 GB RAM, 4 DD 7200.
It works very well with my FIREPOD and also with a Motu HD976.
Logic 8 was beginning to have serious latency beyond the 8-track (with effects), whether in imac dual core 4 GB RAM on my Mac Pro.
I start projects "heavy" Demonstration (Lily Allen) and even with all of these effects, no worries.

OVERALL OPINION

Logic 8, for some time. Logic 9, two days ago.
I will return for a thorough update.
I have cubase studio 4, and I tried the Cubase SX, LE, SX2, Logic 8.
Upgrade to 166 euros from version 8, it's going, it's affordable.
I think I do not separate any time soon.

I use Logic for about a year. I was working on Protools LE Digi001 for over 8 years on PCs, software standard, but hls very very limited.
Then Digital Performer, a disaster my eyes, unable to run without a paddle, and Mac is intolrable!!
Then came Logic, and this was the slap !!!!!
I use it mainly audio and I'm running for very large projects (64 tracks minimum) full of effects that I apply only very rarely, often editing the old one (in d cutting) and those who know me know I dcoupe "HUGE" !!!!!
The tool Flex is not ideal when you have a lot of micro together on one and the same instrument (drums mics 15/16 ...), it does not follow the phase, and we feel all of result! Most often, I use Melodyne!
The plugins are not bad at all, I have my preferences on the SSL and UAD, but frankly, they do their jobs !!!!!
The samples provided with are not bad at all, and you will thunder the number of producers they use them!
What is unfortunate is that one can not apply a direct effect as can be done in ProTools, one must make a price bounce in place, "it's pretty boring, but too bad!

The report qualitprix is standard!

At the beginners I was a bit scared when we go from PT LP, scare, but once you're used is really great!!

OVERALL OPINION

Easy installation. No inconsistency. The setup is easy. The manual is very thorough, despite the obvious translation errors (per ex. Tap tap tempo = tempo)

Macbook pro. 2.66 GHZ, 4GB of ram in snow leopard. Sound card RME Fireface 800. Perfect operation. Always available. This config is very stable.

OVERALL OPINION

Logic user Pro9 since its release. But Logic user for about fifteen years (first on Windows). This is the basic tools of my work.
I work also as Live 8 for other function.
The feature I like most: the availability of all the tools needed to make the composition, arrangement, production. It works all the time. I once left my computer on for some weeks without having to restart Logic.
The price / quality ratio is excellent. Including that of the plugin, the software package and mainstage WaveBurner

turned my logic I have a core2duo at 3ghz imac 27 and rotates nikel with 4GB of ram, all is stable overall.

OVERALL OPINION

I use Logic for a year now, I was skeptical at first because the interface looks a bit like GarageBand, but once past that stage I realized that for its price the RQP was unbeatable. I tried Cubase, Pro Tools, Nuendo, Digital Performer ... and logic for me is more complete and simpler for the price. The original virtual instrument in no way inferior to those created by publishers, most of all the samples are compatible Apple Loops directly to the sequencer. Compatible with other software projects and provided with a pack of software production as soundtrackpro (editing his post-production)
so should have put money in his full software, then there is no doubt that logic studio thing.

MacBookPro 2.4 g - 2 G of ram. - Say internal 640 G in 2 partitions.
M audio sound card, internal or core when I'm away from home ...
Perfomance correct, but I think of that 2 GB of ram are a bit lighter.
Apart from this restriction of ram, and internal hard disk 5400 rpm, the rest works well.
For now not crash unlike my older version of Logic 8 Express .... The solution logic studio 9 seems more stable.

OVERALL OPINION

Since July 2010.
I could go through Hard 3 and 4 at the time Emagic.

And Digital Performer 3, 4 and 5.

Cubase, and quickly abandoned ProTool (old version) soon dropped too ...

To find a product that is stable is important to me.

I would do this choice

installation is the normal way, but quite a bit longer because there are cd sound banks that take quite some time. Configuaration complete approximately 60Gb

J ' Logic Pro since version 7 and I mean I can not get enough.
What I like most is the management of plugs is very clean. Each parameter can be found very easily. Nothing to do with cubase.
The internal plugs are good but should be supplemented by others. Sounds already prepared are very good too.
A good sequencer for me ...

It works fine on this config - no cracks or crash - I use a max of 10 to 15 tracks of soft + plugins - there are more than enough and they are really good.

OVERALL OPINION

1 year of use, no big revolution compared to 8 - at least for my usage.
Having tried Cubase and Live chiefly, I think Logic Studio 9 is super right for my use "zik at home." Very stable and generally not very resource hungry. Even if I use a small portion of the software's capabilities, it does the job and I do not ask any more questions about the plugins to find or buy, it works. A statement for Mainstage 2, which I tested and made me a great feeling, it really makes you want to look there, although I am more confident to set a good old hardware.
