[NAMM] 2 new TC Electronic TonePrint pedals

The TC Electronic TonePrint family will welcome this Spring the new Viscous Vibe and Helix Phaser stompboxes.

The TC Electronic Viscous Vibes is a digital recreation of the legendary Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe vibrato/tremolo effect. The true stereo pedal (two inputs and outputs) reproduces the famous effects used on Pink Floud, Jimi Hendrix or Robin Trower albums, among others. You can also vary the sound possibilities by loading an artist TonePrint or creating your own effect via the free TonePrint Editor software and app.

The Viscous Vibe feature a large speed knob and two smaller knobs for intensity and volume. A mini-toggle allows for choosing between three presets: the fat chorus/phaser or the swirling vibrato of the orignal Uni-Vibe or your TonePrint in the intermediary position.

Last, you can choose between true or buffered bypass. Note that, though the effects are digital, the signal path is fully analog (Analog-Dry-Through). The Viscous Vibe requires a 9V power supply (not included).

Second model, the Helix Phaser also features a memory for one TonePrint preset of your choice. TC Electronic says that your can deeply tune the effect to get a wide sound arsenal, from Gilmour’s vintage dynamic tone to Van Halen’s wide and fat sweeps and Radiohead-type modern phasers.

Controls on the Helix include speed, depth, feedback and dry/wet mix knobs, as well as a three-way switch for Vintage or Smooth effects and the TonePrint preset. A True bypass is also on the menu.

Both new Viscous Vibe and Helix Phaser will be available in May, each for the price of 129 €.
