Roland VA-3

Having Yamaha and Technics keyboards I was looking for a model of mileu end.
The finish is pretty average. Documentation embroulle trs (I'm discovering the logic of the series VA)

UTILIZATION

The configuration is made difficult by the lack of buttons ddies. In fact almost everything through the touch screen and it's a catastrophe. In my opinion this system is unusable in live (latency / the chosen function is recognized half the time). In short trs bad interface
The sounds are pretty good but not great (very retriat in relation to VA5 and VA7. Superimpose two can split the keyboard sounds and which gives a total of 2 sounds left hand and 2 sounds right hand with the styles we reach soon as the limit of polyphony.
For styles not say it's clean like all Roland.
The keyboard is a bit noisy which can be a gene for the other when playing with headphones

OVERALL OPINION

I kept just three months time to sell it quickly. Since I avoid Roland

61 touch-sensitive keyboard synth that possde type 2 audio outputs, a MIDI interface (in / out / thru), and DIFFERENT connections for pedals.

In terms of sound, is the first Roland keyboard sounds out possder much: around 3650, with the possibility to split the keyboard in two and put two sounds on each keyboard part.

The styles are pretty cool, simple, basic, but effective. More modern and better finished than those of Roland Previous workstations. Will of each style is flexible so can change the groove of drums, bass, accompaniment, etc.. We can also mix two styles together which sometimes gives a surprisingly original shuffled trs!

The VA-3 has a mixer incorporates, and a multi-effects section. Each effect is ditable. Ditto for the CHARACTERISTICS of a sound: the DIFFERENT paramtres its envelope can be modified. So you can create your own sounds ...

Finally, there is a squenceur 16 tracks on the keyboard. Pretty easy to use (for someone who knows a bit how a well-squenceur sr).

UTILIZATION

This keyboard can be difficult to approach for a novice, but APRS few hours of ownership, you realize the ease of use of the keyboard, including the grace that allows Crant touch travel from one menu to another Manir quite clear.

Gnrale level configuration, three options: sounds, styles and programs. Then, still using the touch screen, you choose a CATEGORY sounds or styles, etc.. This keyboard is fitted in the D-Beam Controller clbre which, using his hand to change the filters of a sound.

With regard to the sound edition, the page is quite simple, you can not go wrong: a few options, but effective. Change Vibrato, tremolo, modification of the envelope (attack, decay, sustain, release), etc..

The manual is consquent, can a heavy attack. However, when one encounters a problem prcis he rvle very practical, especially thanks to the many images to visualize directly the way forward.

OVERALL OPINION

It's dj few years that I use. I used both in home studio in animation and music. IDAL this keyboard is for someone looking for a good balance between reasonable price and amateur keyboard possibilities. It is ideal for live music!

Only problem: his weight. Trslger, it may give the impression of not being strong trs. That said, I've never had a problem at the carcass of the vehicle.

In résumé would recommend someone beginners in learning the piano and keyboards, and who wants a good qualitprix.
