Roland SRX-07 Ultimate Keys

The map is derived from several SRX07 cards SRJV (already filled in an earlier opinion) and is oriented pop / rock with pianos, electric pianos (Rhodes, Wurlitzer, many organ (hammond, vox, farfisa ...) and vintage synthesizer (moog , juno, jupider, ARP, Oberheim, ...), Mellotron, bass guitars and some batteries.

My first impression is a slight disappointment when the quality of sound. The overall volume is low (like most of the JV) and most of the sounds is a bit cramped. Some sounds are detached (better scale) and the volume between each patch may change significantly (note the ears at high volume). I also note an imbalance left hand / right hand on some presets (including Mellotron, organ), that the bass sound is very low compared to acute.
On output, a tube preamp or a plugin allows you to add a good density (so we can tweak them upward) and qualibrage is ready for use in a mix (EQ, ...)

The pianos are correct for a mix, but far behind the SRX11 (preferred for solos)
The electric pianos lack of punch and depth but are also correct (SRX12 for solos)
The organ is not bad and even some very well
The synth, very (too) many, are generally good. Some presets are monophonic (moog), as the originals. Fortunately, the Mellotron is not limited to 8s!
The synth bass is successful, and deep bass well reproduced (the SH101 sounds really good)
Bass guitars are not really terrible, and sorely lacks punch.
The batteries are almost crappy and sound worse than on SRJV!

Too bad Roland is simply a compilation of map out JV and has not developed a true keyboard vintage new card.
Finally, I would have preferred a smaller amount (800 waveform, I think) for enhanced depth of sound. Nevertheless all sounds good vintage sounds and reproduce well the analog, sustained notes like some time-varying (moog, ...).

Finally, although patches are similar, the amount to find what suits us and I recommend inflating sounds with some things out (preamp, delay, reverb).
This card fits well or live in a mix.

The SRX-07 contains all forms donde expansion cards 04 SR-JV80 Vintage Synth, SR-JV80 08 Keyboards of th 60s & 70s and SR-JV80 10 Bass & 87 drums donde forms of SR-JV80 Session 09 and 13 of the SR-JV80 03 Piano for a total of 860 forms Donder and 475 new patches. Patches original SR-JV80 04/08/10 are included on the CD ROM accompanying the SRX-07.

At first glance, this card does not seem to bring new spectacular compared to the internal sounds of the XV. However, it is idalie for sound designers who like to program their synth! The bass and organ are trs good quality kits rhythms are certainly worse than the SRX-01 Dynamic Drum trs but they sound live. DEFINITIONS In this card is well suited for the game on scne.

The rhythm of the card kits are a little BCLS: indeed, he nont not the dynamics of the SRX-01 (evolution of the sound from the strike force) so that all forms donde couraging for the opration is available on the card. We must reprogram ourselves even kits for this rsultat.

The pros: this card possde many patch prs employment (regardless prs 400). The organ sounds and sounds not good quality Varis (blues, funk, techno synth bass sounds ...), the deep, dynamic and punchy (although fat too careful speakers!). There are also sounds of electric pianos (Rhodes, Wurlitzer) Varis enough. Leads and pad sounds are their office, what a toffe components in a wide range of styles all of the same ...
Keyboards "funky" is slammin and the body: a Russianness! (S. Wonder Superstition example.
The electric bass sounds are average but that's normal I got, I play with a real bass player so I think about is relative ca. The acoustic bass sounds (bass) are fucking on the other hand.
The - The map possde sounds batteries (drum kits) that I find trslgers! I know that Roland is the "gnrationnel" in intgrant in its new products of "antiques" aurra yet we could do without because the SRX-01 "Dynamic drums" the fact trs well!

I know Roland products because I practiced for 15 years prs (D50, XP50, JV80, MC50mkII, MC307-303-505-2080 JV1080, XV2020), I practiced a lot of sound card library of the SR-JV-xx.

I think it's a good map because of its proposed variation on keyboards (Hammond organ genre, funk keyboards, electric pianos, synth bass, leads, ground ...), also their quality Integrates quickly and their ability in a compound / arrangement. There's almost no need to touch the sounds in the mix.

The ratio Q / P is INTERESTED in this map because there are many sounds can be used directly without digging the head and this in a wide range of musical style funk, house, drum & bass, techno, jazz, fusion, R & B .
