Native Instruments has released new updates for Guitar Rig (v4.1.2) and Kontakt and Kontakt Player (v4.2.2).

 

Guitar Rig v4.1.2

Changes:

  • Mac OS X 64-bit compatibility (AU, VST & Standalone).
  • Improved Guitar Rig 3 preset sound compatibility.
  • Rig Kontrol 1 recall fix.
  • Reflektor convolution timings fix.
  • CoreAudioDevice crash fix.
  • Recording pedal automation fix.
  • Several smaller fixes.
  • See manual section for updated Reflektor manual.

 

Kontakt v4.2.2

New features:

  • New binary file format for increased saving/loading performance.
  • New zero-latency convolution engine with optimized performance for low-latency settings.
  • Revised master output section with presets and advanced macro functions.
  • Numerical parameter value input for all knobs.
  • New Import formats: Akai MPC 5000, Alesis Fusion, Drumagog, Korg Triton, Roland Fantom, Yamaha Motif.
  • Mac OS X: 64-Bit VST support.
  • Mac OS X: 64-Bit support for Rex import.
  • Resource Container for efficient library handling.
  • New KSP syncing commands.

Most important fixes:

  • Fixed performance issues with Interpolation Mode 'HQI: perfect’ using mono Samples.
  • Loading times have improved for instruments with big scripts.
  • Fixed numerous import issues of existing formats.

 

Important: Since Kontakt 4.2 is now based on a new file format, patches saved with Kontakt 4.2 can’t be loaded with previous Kontakt versions. You should back up your files and important projects before saving with Kontakt 4.2.

 

Also available is Kontakt 4 Factory Library Update v1.0.4. This update contains various fixes and updates for your Kontakt 4 Factory Library. In order to use all the Instruments installed with this Content Update, you have to update to Kontakt 4.2.2 first.
