CharterOak will release the next in its line of preamps and signal processors, the MPA-1 microphone preamplifier, next month at Musikmesse in Frankfurt.
The CharterOak MPA-1 is a solid-state, dual channel microphone preamplifier.
The MPA-1’s transformerless input circuitry and transformer-balanced output is designed to let the engineer control the signal “from clean and transparent, to pleasant coloration” added by the MPA-1’s output stage and Cinemag output transformer, according to the company.
The MPA-1 is also fitted with variable high pass and low pass filters that encompass the entire bandwidth of the device, a –6dB pad, +48VDC phantom power, and phase reverse.
