Fender Deluxe 85

2ch + 60W transistor amp switch.

USE

Usual configuration for this type of amp ...
Very crystal clear sound but lack all the same a little fishing (a remaining average transistor range even if it's fender).
The mix of the two channels (clean + distortion) requires a little mastery of the amp and is not always very convincing.
Like all combos, a few hours of rglages will ncessaires to find her sound, it will depend of the hardware used guitar etc ... But I tell you nothing.

SONORITS

The clean sounds are very good (as often in fender) by against this amp really miss fishing, when pushed a little we realize its limitations.
The distortion sounds and the boost sound very "mtallique" and quite cold.
this amp lacks warmth I got, even for a "transistor".

That said with some stuff behind it can largely do the trick, and used price is very affordable as given that it is not specially sought-as some of his " brothers "lampifis

... Has left me an amp with which one can draw very good things in more or less all styles, perfectly know the condition and know how to use!

NOTICE GLOBAL

This is the first amp I bought
I had purchased for $ 90 beginning of about 20000frs Belgians (yes, sorry, I'm Belgian! Excuse me!), Is equivalent to roughly 500euros.
It's always rest in a corner, I have never sold ... But I use it virtually! must be a nostalgia for espce ...

This amp is neither exceptional nor bad. A good balance for beginners who want an amp that holds up (for the price) and for exprimentes ears dsirent have at home a transistor amp for certain sounds (amp look awesome by the way!)

... Obviously all this is subjective, I like some things, others do not and vice versa)

If c'tait again I would do this choice as a must do 15 years that I have and it is always nickel ... But God knows if it is assumed the full-gu ** e for all this time !!! : D

The technical aspect has been largely developed below. This is a transistor 65 watts RMS (85 watts).

UTILIZATION

Operation is relatively simple, except for the use of two channels in parallel which may require some tedious settings.

SOUNDS

This is where I want to emphasize. I note here a transistor amplifier with an average value of 250/300 euros (in 2011) ... It's just one of the nicest clean sounds I heard on the transistor, it's close to perfection, cleans and sounds have nothing to envy to some tube amps! It's late and slamming as one would expect from fender. Excellent with a stratum.
The downside for me is the saturated channel that sounds very "80's" and is quite metallic and cold, without much life, so not very interesting. But all this is very subjective ... The strength of this amp is definitely clear sound. The spring reverb is really nice, short for the transistor is really an excellent his fender.

OVERALL OPINION

It's one of my first amp, I bought it twenty years ago (prffouh already) I left long side and bought a lot of tube amps (often very expensive, especially the fender, the vox ...) I've never sold and I rediscovered recently, I use it a lot at home, coupled with a small vox ac 15C1 reverb which is ch *** (I advise all the world to try if you have such radically different amps, the result is quite amazing) just clean with good pedal backward and aby one to two amps. Settings with many doses, the resulting color is really a wonderful (and quite original as well)

So basically, the most are: the clear, spring reverb, its small weight and the fact that it requires no maintenance unlike lamps (mine has never been serviced in 20 years and is always impeccable) .
The least: the saturation uninteresting to my taste, but I do not use it for that

UTILIZATION

Pretty easy to use. It is 2 hours of adaptation to master.

SOUNDS

The sound is clear that the fender MAGNIFICENT very full of very precise crystalline Dynamics with a Start
bonheur.Cet is pure amp sound good restitution of the guitar.
Saturated sound is very good. From big crunch distortion and the sound is always accurate even with my
Lespaul.
This amp does not sound fat enough for the metal but the clean fender.

OVERALL OPINION

The report price is exellent quality for around 300 euros for the quality of this amp's gifts.
this amp is little known and not expensive.
There are better certe (all-tube amps) but much more expensive.
