Crate VTX65B

I'll let you watch the previous opinion, that will always be more accurate than me.
In fairness, I think for this amp it lacks an outlet to plug directly into a mixer.
The sound pressure is correct for a 65W, in rehearsal, you push a little over 1 / 4.

UTILIZATION

Simple configuration for the basic sound, there are no worries! Set the crunch, the lead or clean, it's really Plug and Play: It's Easy!

In contrast to the effects is not easy to understand how to solve them and save them from the pedal. It's the only reason I went for the manual, and it explains very well the manip 'to do, which is again quite simple too.

Perhaps a single black dot: the reverb. It is difficult to resolve. Either it was nothing, either it was much, but between the two is not very adjustable: But it comes perhaps from my amp.

SOUNDS

First in Clean: the sound is really clean, it is not stifled, and crystalline sounds really, not much as a Fender amp (frontman), but it is a very good sound.

In Crunch: A wonder! Simply! Depending on the settings, you can go from a slight crunch perfect for blues, a sound worthy of AC / DC, with a grain awesome.

Lead In: Middle, the sound is not really adjustable, and it too ... saturated for my taste. The metalheads love for the frenzied rhythms or solos, it's a small find, it sounds like they like (Me, the sound "metal", I know nothing).

Let's talk about the effects, now: it's probably from that comes its high price, and frankly, disappointed. The effects are not great, and finally, the only one I use really: it's the chorus. That said, it's also because I do not use them often these effects.

Frankly, very versatile, you can touch all genres. I use it mostly for blues, rock, pop rock, to the Hard Rock (AC / DC and Co.).

OVERALL OPINION

So I have this amp for over a year now, and I really love it!
I tried several other amps, H & K, Marshall (Marshall's not good for that matter) Fender (which I like the clean sound also, but lacks crunch).
The +: sound, just
The - the weight, and PBS techniques, such as a buzz recalcitrant

Overall a good value for money, and yes, I would do with the experience that choice, this amp is a beautiful beast!
