Classic Fender amp

Fender Vibroverb (Blackface)Published on 07/10/11 at 22:45
Fender used to make a=such great amps. These amps have such a spectacular tone that seems to resonate and sustain with ease. This was one of the baddest amps Fender ever made with the reverb and tremelo in one and 40 watts of power. You could get this thing cranking and have a sweet mild overdrive along with the the added effects. What I like about this amp is the lower wattage as apposed to the 100 watt amps than were all clean and no way of cranking that thing reasonably. 40 watt is still pretty loud but breaks up quicker. Overall a fantastic amp for any guitar player who need a classic vintage Fender tone.

SOUNDS

This is classic vintage sound. You can here the components aging while you play..it is great. Plugging into these amps from this era give you a new perspective of music today. hey have such a soul and story to tell that it makes playing them that much more fun. Just to know that this amp have been around for 40 years and all the people is may have been passed through and the gigs it has played just makes you appreciate more of rock history.

Plug this thing up with a nice Fender guitar whether it be a Stratocaster or a Telecaster and listen to the soul of an amp that was build with such craftsmanship and character.

OVERALL OPINION

These are such classic amps. If you can pick one up they are worth the price of ticket. I am not sure what the going rate for these amps are nowadays. I have seen brownface ones go for around $2500. So I think that is about the ballpark you are looking at. Not a bad pickup for a 40 year old amp with loads of character. I would recommend this amp to anyone who loves the classic sweet vintage tones of a Fender tremelo

SOUNDS

- I'ma bassist active but I play regularly (too little for my taste) of the guitar and this amp there is simply marvelous.
- It sets a good clean sound, reverb, echo very little choruses éventuellemnt (not difficult with such a device) and downstream, we do what we want: I added that there little overdrive.
- The beast does the rest.
- I mainly play my Gibson Marauder 1975.
- Be very careful with adding effects, modeling in particular because the natural grain of the amp would be altered.

OVERALL OPINION

- I am the proud owner of my Vibroverb since ........
- I guess everyone has understood that it is a Vibroverb original and not a reissue, there is nothing in common with the current model.
- Mine was at 110 volts, I, without any modification of the chassis (very important) to commission a transformer Fender 110/220 V.installé by a specialist firm Fender.
- I took the action to refurbish the preamplification and amplification, the components such as capacitors were the original "dry" so to replace.
- It's normal, (1964) I, of course, watched the "restoration" and the components are similar in nature and features - I replaced, finally, all the lamps by "GT Fender Gold "result, it sounds wonderful.
- Last, my jewelry never goes out and I do not use at home, it is always dry, at constant temperature.
- There is no "value for money to show for it is priceless finally found, rarely, the U.S. amps are identical and, according to the state, their price varies between 3.4 , 5 miles I saw a € to 10.000,00 € he had never served: new. Impressive, no?
