OVERALL OPINION

Here is my third Arturia emulation software keyboard. After the ARP 2600 and Mini Moog, the Modular V, ie: the Moog Modular, seems a great complexity of use.
And frankly, it does not just seem to: it is very complex! Normal since this monster is composed of a total of four furniture bunk. The second (from the top) with a staggering variety of options since each module filters can be divided into several variants: VC low pass filter, Closing Filter, Frequency Shifter, VC LFO and other ... The choice is made by clicking on the title of the modular panel that makes changing the configuration and presentation thereof. The wiring between all these modules also offer such possibilities we can spend hours and hours in experiments. But also learning ...
Fortunately, the big book manual provides essential to obtaining key sounds. Arturia always does things: many examples from one or two presets basic to understanding (or begin to understand ...) the basics of programming. Speaking of presets, some are used as such in the case of polyphonic sounds (banks "PAD" and "Keyboards"). The sounds of Bass and Lead are most successful for my taste. But once learned the basics, it is relatively easy from a polyphonic preset and the work to achieve the desired sound. The possibilities are so numerous that it is impossible to go into all of them here and elsewhere I would not be able to have not yet fully mastered the monster! Please note: the presence of a powerful sequencer and with him also options that are staggering. Fortunately, the programming of a basic sequence is within my reach, so the reach of everyone ...
Now to the sound itself. I can not tell whether the virtual keyboard appears faithful to the original but I can say that the sound quality is at the rendezvous. Arturia could not miss this "Poly Moog" with the experience and the power of its programming. The sounds are really nice, musical, rich and organic, analog brief. Opportunities, as I said earlier, are so incredible and infinite all imaginable sounds are achievable. So it takes time and even a lot of time for someone who does not know what type of machine (random: me) before coming to understand the logic of operation. Yet one can not criticize this complexity, or at least what can look like complexity for an amateur, because it is the image of the historical keyboard incredible modular device that was designed for a multitude of opportunities and continuously updated through the famous optional modules.
