Gibson SG Standard Ebony color. 2 humbucking gibso I go back on the specs ... Bought used (rather exchange against my Carvin ct-4 + Wampler Triple Wreck).

UTILIZATION

The grip of the guitar is natural and comfortable. The guitar is slight but sturdy, the handle is very pleasant for me even if it is not good auusi than a telecaster custom 78 (best round I've played in my life).
Flatter and wider.
With proper adjustment of the handle games and fast, precise and very pleasant.
Plugged into a combo Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 with in effects: A ernie ball wah, a Boss DS-2, A Xotix BB + preamp, A Blackart Toneworks LSTR and a line 6 M9: I do what I want and go where I want with my hair ...

SOUNDS

This is a model of quitare jouabilitée and versatility. Clean, Blues, Rock, Pop, Metal, Bal musette experimental munich, this guitar can do it all and do it well.
This is a standard in standard but it is not for nothing.
In short it is a guitar player who is meant to be played again and again and again and always give you satisfaction. The sound is clear and you would look over the other guitars in the same ear after that.

OVERALL OPINION

I possess a lot of electric guitars but this one is the best loins. Not the most expensive yet ... Have found today in 1100 euros while many skyscrapers in the example 2000 € 1800 or do not auusi well.
I certainly VAIT updater plit with microphones and virato and it will last. After the sg, the only guitars that still come to me to have the dream musicman ...

George's Music Berwyn PA, I paid 1050 dollars for it new. I had a big problem finding one and had to drive two hours from delaware to pick it up, I wanted to buy one down here in Delaware but no one had one in stock and it takes a while to order from gibson, 3 months and up...

This guitar is simply gorgeous, I mean you have to see it to beleive that people make equiptment like this. The inlays were amazing looking, the headstock was just detailed and beautiful, its nice and light and has beautiful hardware. The finish shines perfectly, and the cherry color is just fabulous. The wood is just great looking. It came in a beautiful brown case with a pink liner...which I could have done with out, but if anyone buys an 03 or newer they get black with grey inside so that solves that one physical aspect. It sounds amazing plugged in, and I had to lower the action somewhat to get it to where I like it. It requires SOOO little force to get great tones, you could go so fast on this guitar its not even funny!

Its beauty is its greatest stregth and weakness, it requires alot of upkeep to have it look new. Heat changes really effect it too, you have to let it get used to the temp before taking it out and playing it, I have one finish check from my lack of care in the first weeks, but it is worth all the effort to own somthing this nice, I had one other problem with this guitar the notch for the sixth string is not big enough to hold it so in hard playing it pops out, you can fix it with a file or a new bridge so its basically a non issue, I love my baby none the less! Some say the neck is too thick for thier hands and its wide, but it just makes it a dream for speed. Its personal preference I guess, but I love it!

Its just such a nice guitar, some people say you can buy a cheaper gibson and its the same, my brother owns a sg voodoo seris which cost 950 only 100 less than mine, there is no binding, or laquer finish, and it feels sort of the same in your hands, just like the faded sg's, it is about the same to play, but it just feels cheaper, it no inlays, binding, glossy finish, pick up covers, headstock inlays or any of what makes the sg stand out so much, gibson on the headstock is just a decal on the voodoo, and on the sg standard its a perloid inlay that looks fantastic, I say dont go cheap, spend the 100 more dollars or even four or five depending on the pricing in your area and go for a standard, it is well worth the money. Its the best decision I have made in years, and dont listen to what gibson haters out there say, they just cant afford one so they complain about them like thier junk. I will end with this, a gibson is the greatest guitar you can purchace, and if they say its too much of a premium price I say who cares, if you keep it five years its still worth what you paid for it, its a beautiful investment that will make you smile every time you look at it.

UTILIZATION

Playability is a dream on an SG Standard. The double cutaways are very deep, and the neck joins the body near the end of the fretboard, closer than on most guitars, so fret access is sublime. The neck feels fantastic, as if the carve and fretboard radius were built for my hand. Controls are easy to reach, yet plugging in a straight end cable is a tad annoying, as it juts out near the controls. My guitar has a Maestro Vibrato system, and it is great for subtle Bigsby-style vibrato, with a severe helping of cool. It's a classy, yet edgy looking guitar.

SOUNDS

This guitar is bold and aggressive, but can be smooth and subtle. The inherent acoustic resonance is undeniable - you can feel the guitar vibrate in your hand, probably more than any other guitar I have ever played. Bridge pickup tones would cut through a steel bank vault, with all the bite in the world, yet all notes and chords retain a crystal clarity. The neck pickup tone is thick and singing, which is what you hear on the early Santana records.

OVERALL OPINION

This guitar is fantastic, a true classic. There is a reason why this guitar is one of the most enduring and iconic designs of all time - it rocks! The SG Standard is a true winner all the way around, and I would recommend that every guitar player try one out at some point.

I have been eyeing a Gibson SG Standard for quite a while now. I picked this one off the wall at GC in Texas and I fell in love. The coil-tap is sweet but it isn't perfect and to be honest if you are truly looking for that single-coil tone then just buy a Stratocaster. What it does provide is the ability to gig with one guitar and get darn close to that true single-coil sound when you need it.

UTILIZATION

The finish is beautiful, I have the Vintage Sunburst and I love it. The sounds are bold, cutting and pristine. They shine on solos they just have that ability to cut through the band. Many of my band members thought I spent much more than the retail price. The neck is amazing smooth and comfortable. The binding is beautiful and adds to the authentic look and feel of the Les Paul. Just in genereal the feel of this guitar is great and it has a really nice color to it as well. I think this version comes in a few different colors.

SOUNDS

The guitar is heavy don't discount that if you play long sets. I am used to a relatively heavy guitar. This LP isn't chambered. which is something that I enjoy. I feel that chambering, although reduces weight, calms down sustain. This baby will hold a note while you grab a sandwich and when you get back it will still be humming.

OVERALL OPINION

The overall sound of the guitar is everything you would expect from a Les Paul. Every note shines through out of this instrument. I play it through a Mesa/Boogie Mark V and it basically sounds as perfect as I had imagined it would in my head. You can never go wrong with a Gibson, I definitely recommend getting this one. The SG Gibson Standard is at the top of its class.

Joking aside, microphones and tones are very progressive
it is a guitar that passes easily from blues to hard rock through the Australian country. Perhaps less comfortable in style more extreme (death metal, ...)
I saw also during a jazz concert ... far from being ridiculous

UTILIZATION

A very nice guitar to play with, easy access to all frets and lighter than a Les Paul, a really ergonomic a easy guitar to play with.

SOUNDS

I had this guitar for 10 years now, and I've used it with a lot of different amps, cabs, effects etc.
I recently changed the stock pickups with Bareknuckle ones.
With the stock ones it was quite acid and "trebly" but I changed my tuning to D standard and with the new pickups it's a rock/heavy rock machine.
It can easily goes from clean Jazzy dark tones in the neck position to heavy rhythm and sharp leads in the bridge position.
I've toured a lot with this guitar, and even with the standard tuners and with a 11-52 set of strings it maintains the guitar in tune for a lot of time.
A great guitar for blues too.

OVERALL OPINION

This a guitar that today can be found for a lot less money from 10 years ago. My advice is to try it before, especially if you buy it used, I've read from various sources that the Quality standards from those years were a little bit up and down.
If you find a good one, however I strongly advice to take it, it is a rock monster, that can easily cover a lot of ground even with the stock pickups, great value for the price of it, I would easily buy another one in an heartbeat.

Gibson SG us (MODL all there is more standard) ... with traditional home gibson CHARACTERISTICS: Cordier, Tune-o-matic, rosewood fingerboard 22 frets, 2 humbuckers (PAF) , slecteur 3 positions, 1 volume & Tone rglage micro ... Simple and effective!

UTILIZATION

Channel Gibson: a mean we like it or not ... I do, so ...
Access in acute, for the era, unbeatable ... and today is that of happiness.
It is much more than her big sister lgre Les Paul, better balance, empty a can be felt at the sound. It is also lgrement chamfered, a more ergonomic and non ngligeable Aesthetics.

So it makes an SG standard in the United States. It is mahogany (body + sleeve). Rosewood 22 frets, pickups: 2 Humbucker that will make you cry with joy .. : 490R in the neck position and 498T in the bridge position. SETTING THE Volume and Tone by microphone. Channel pais but not too much (not as a gro Les Paul) trs enjoyable, fast Anyway I love it and I'm comfortable TRSA.

UTILIZATION

The handle is perfect for me, it feels fast straight away at ease. Access in acute could not be easier. The ergonomics are fantastic: forget the weight of a Les Paul that will make you drool, here we are dealing with an SG ridiculous weight (3 to 4 kg), it is ultra platte, the weight is I think, ideally rpart (some would say there q'il more weight to the head of the instrument but I do not find). Question her .. Well, it's Gibson .. it was a wonderful ds's the first connection before you even rglage you find yourself playing any qoi to make it talk a little bit ..

SOUNDS

It is perfect for my style of music I adore Muse, AC / DC, Led Zeppelin ... is frankly gnial .. I use a Marshall JCM2000 and frankly .. What about the fact that a gibson the religious instruments are reputable and that is that this mark would notice me dispens ... Basically it is THE rock sound. I love it. Question ca lens provides really good (I had often said that in light ca sonait too bad, but it's too not true it sounds really interresting way trs. And of course .. It is in bold dynamite .. Enough to have a heart attack has a region of 80 brushes .. The sound I prfre is without doubt the sound fat zero .. Tellment "enjoyable" ..

OVERALL OPINION

I use it recently, I love above all this sublime form, color, heritage cherry, a beautiful red "VTU" a varnish sublime too. His sound is just part of intgrante Rock, there are countless artists who have used the Beast (Angus Young, Pete Townsend ...) No problem regarding Access in treble.
That branch on any amp, it sounds good and the guitar is SETTING THE could not be more simple.

SOUNDS

I use a Marshall JCM800.
This gives a clear trs of good quality but the distortion is not great (well for those who love the blues, they will find agnial) so I use pedals to get a distortion pedals, this n'manant not the guitar but the amp.
I tried it on a Dual Rectifier and l. .. is happiness!
On a twin, or a Hot Rod Engel is also trs well!

OVERALL OPINION

I play with this guitar for over 7 years and frankly I still love it as much.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a handle Gibson. In the words dedicated "we love or we dtest" I love me, and I do not see how we can dtest.

The balance is perfect, the weight is insignificant (I play mostly on a Les Paul), Access in acute is optimal. In short, it's a rgal to play it, even more than on a Les Paul, it is to say! When I branch for the first time on my amp, I could not help but play. The playability and feel are truly exceptional.

SOUNDS

Like Les Paul, it sounds right away and give a silly grin all lovers of big sound. It is bold, rich, ractif, the Gibson's what! Plugs into a mesa boogie with a baffle rectoverb Slash Marshall Edition is standard.

The only BMOL is compared to the Les Paul (my guitar pricipale). Indeed, the SG has a slightly less sharp prcis pchu and his big sister, which I will always prfrer this dernire. That said, one between the nit-picking, and provides the dj is exceptional, and it reverses the diffrence with the comfort of his game a little suprieur.
Personally, I play in a band fan of rock / hardcore / noisy, and I use the SG guitar help of Les Paul and plans more noisy.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months and I am fully satisfied. In gnral, I use my Les Paul in rpt 'and concerts, and Sg home, and troubleshooting of the Les Paul.
I prfre is the ease of play it provides and its versatility. I tried many other models before buying, and from the Les Paul (I know, I insist, but I'm crazy), no other guitar does not sound much my taste. I speak of the Rock (at large), a course.
It's a Gibson SG uen it is a myth ... justifies the use.

Gibson Guitar with set neck, 2 double pickups, no vibrato 22 frets and 4 knobs (volume and sound of two pickups). It is very well and the wood is beautiful.

UTILIZATION

It's easy to play .. The guitar is light and you're good with, it holds well. You can change the pickups and selector is nickel. In addition you can adjust the volume of two separate microphones so you can cut a switch and shake, that's a funny kind sound effect that starts and returns.

SOUNDS

The sound is very good but I was less accurate than my other guitars (especially Jackson) and it whistled when I was playing hard with the marshals (it was going in but not big crunch sat) so I took her to the repairer who has said he could change the pickups. He told me it was a shame to put EMG as the jacksons so he put Seymour Duncan. It's a little better but not much. I think I'm going to put EMG anyway!

OVERALL OPINION

It's a great guiatre more blues or hard rock Metallica (except perhaps the albums they have short hair). What is unfortunate is that the pickups are not great compared to the EMG to the metal but otherwise is good.

UTILIZATION

The handle? I have comments on the sleeves type strat. I made the era a car I thought that as beginners with small hands ... a handle end would suit me.

Then one day I put the hand on the handle ... and the rvlation ... easy pais ... it requires the precision and this is what I need!

The ergonomics of this scraper is excellent as a general rule ... lgre, it can be played sitting or standing without dropping or s'clater back!

It is the only aa t rvlation ... the gibson are gnral consodres as trs type rock, blues, mtal ... it's not wrong ... but the SG will be as a scratching rvle particulire versatile especially in the clean sounds.

If you love fiddling and rgler ... one comes across the sound ... truth and of all kinds ...

It can make you scream like him find trs sound velvety, soft ... pure joy ... Discoveries true for me!
