Jet City Amplification JCA50H

Jet City is a good introduction into quality sounding guitar amplification. These amp have a good sound to them but they are cheaply made over in China. That being my only beef with this company. Other than that these amps alone no matter where they are made sound fantastic.

This is more of the Soldano Hot Rod 50 amp. It has two channel one for normal which would be a clean channel and also gets some crunchy tones to it. The next channel would be the lead or overdrive channel. This is where things heat up tone wise. You get a tube buffered serial effects lops which is nice and an added foot switch to control and jump between the two channels.

SOUNDS

This amp sounds so hauntingly familiar to the sounds of a Soldano SLO. I mean it doesn't have all the same features as the Soldano SLO but the basic part of the tone is there. That juicy thick 80's voiced overdrive that can be heard on countless albums over the years.

I love the way the lead /overdrive channel takes flight when you give it some preamp gain juice. This thing will cranky out some nice chugging type thick fat distortion tones.

OVERALL OPINION

At new these amps come in right at around $499. Not a bad price for a 50 watt head that has two channels. This is a great amp for people looking to get a high gain amp and don't want to break the bank to do it. I would recommend this amp to anyone who needs to stay under or right around $500 and need a good working amp for high gain tones.

SOUNDS

The sound is purely soldanesque!

We'll make it simple, this amp is for all those who seek his Soldano but do not necessarily have to put in euro 3000 a head.

It goes from 3000 to 300, then, should not be simple-this is clearly the character and color of slo but it is not a slo.
If you swear by your big brand logo (which often ultimately does not make you a good guitarist, but just a guy who has the gear expensive to play in his room) on your way

If you dream of slo and that off-budget solution is. It is biting, it's full of harmonic marshall. This amp puts a slap!

For the metal it also works a booster type tube screamer and is immersed in the high gain!

A treat! But beware I repeat, this is very typical Soldano

OVERALL OPINION

Quibbles:

Choose well the cab is 50% of your sound

This head is sensitive to the cab, tested on a Marshall 4x12 1960 it was not bad on a 4x12 Marshall AVT was blah and I opted for a 2x12 Engl E212 in vintage30 + G12T75 and it is a pure happiness!

According to test 212 jet city found in eminence sounds really good and is intended for.

Finally, hard to find used, when one has a (tt time out on thoto) on the guard, and at this price it is not risk as extra amp is perfect as for amp principal. It is well made it is not junk or bugera.
If not careful, it rocks 50 watt is unusable in the apartment or even house, I play less than 1 and the sweet pot is around 5, an attenuator is needed as all the above 15watt amp for THE its.
Luckily jet city sells the cheapest in the market jettenuator attenuator.

I not the pub, it's just that mike Soldano created by a truly scratch mark in the mind, like custom 77 for example, cheap stuff that sounds really good and made with the right tools and clearly open the mod (there modifit himself on Youtube).
