UTILIZATION

The drivers have never planted to date. I use it in a variety of program and I have never had a problem! Low latency, cash it without flinching!

In conclusion, good product. I read a lot of advice before you buy and I did not plant.


I think keep it a little more time because it satisfies me but I think my next system will be something a little more "pro" by decoupling Converto and preamp ... But not for now!

It's been two years since I use this card, I haven 't encountered concerns particular, who had two crashes my graphics card would run into a blue screen openings cubase and sound card. So update the map N Vidya (the fault) and resulting in more problems.
Used on dual core 2.4 ghz, 4 gb ram windows 7 pack 1 (do not forget to get the proper drivers on the M Audio site) and a UAD-2 Solo card which manages the plug-in.

UTILIZATION

I use it mostly in my home studio with Cubase 6 artist and sometimes taken to make external (drums).
I like the preamp card that are good but not monstrous to autant.En addition I use a Joe Meek preamp Three Q and I plan to buy a Universal Audio 710 Twin Finity this will bring a more.
Very good recording quality, the converters of the map are the job well, I set all my projects in 44/24.
Low latency buffer set to 256.

OVERALL OPINION

2 albums made with this card, great value for money.
I stink compare it with a motu 828 mk2 the difference is not phenomenal in the motu enregistrement.Les converters may be a little better?
Brief for more you need to type in the side of RME.
finding a card less than 400 euros with 8 inputs and outputs over spdif,
I find it somewhat (Mickey's dog) cool.

Motivations for choice: I needed to replace my ESI ESP1010 because it is not compatible with QuadCore.
Need: 8 Entrées/8sorties, 2 headphone outputs, 24bit/96KHz Converters, USB, noon, no breath,> 110db performance
Config: CM Asutek P5Q, QuadCore 3GHz, 4GB Ram DDR2, 1TB HDD 32MB cache 7200T/mn, Cubase 4 and as compound of EASTWEST (SoundonLine)

UTILIZATION

Stability: Stable under XP SP2, even with a forty tracks, half of which end with Audio Send active and the other half in Midi Plugins assets. (It was very limited with ESP1010)
Software used: Cubase 4 Plugins, and EastWest.
Latency of about 5ms, but I'm not trying to be less, for my part I do not shift below 10ms.

Installation was trouble-free, the config is done largely in Cubase.
The interface seems a bit complex at first, but once we understood the principle is well designed.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months, and I admit I was disappointed to have to separate myself from the ESP1010, finally I am very happy because the sound quality is better converters and settings offers many more possibilities for takes.
Including the ability to make a comeback in the headphones of ways that you want to level with a different gain for each channel returned is really convenient for the singer or instrumentalist, and for me.
Tried other cards: Audigy 4 Pro, M-Audio Delta24/92 ESI ESP1010.
What I like most: It is my need each entry is adjustable + + quality + sound mixer outputs.
It is USB, so no PCI card that heats or conflicts with another device. (Bp choice IRQ ... etc.)
What I like least: The interface could be more visual (looking for the little beast)
Value for money: Compared with a Fireface 800, it is 2.5 times less expensive, and it is USB for my hand "wins" less than FireWire, so I think the price / quality ratio is excellent.
Repeat this choice? ah yes without hesitation, I recommend to anyone even want a home studio at an affordable price with excellent sound card.

I love the simplicity of instalation and use: One branch, we installed the drivers, is configured in its software and recorded! I made a config in cubase, and I opened it, she is ready for registration;
The two input jacks in the front are very practical too!

Excellent! B Stock purchased on an American website to view 150 100 € less than the price of french sites / European, I do not regret my choice!
