Has your typical line phono connections as well as headphone and microphone jacks. Has USB functionality which is a big selling point for this unit. This is really a mixer with not a lot of frills. Two channels. EQ. Gain. Sub control. This is the bare bones for what you need in a master mixing unit. Very stripped down design. Hits all the major tick marks.

UTILIZATION

As far as functionality, it couldn't be much easier. I started DJing on the side for a couple of rap groups 3 or 4 years ago. As a guy coming from a band/studio background is was a little daunting at first. This is one of the first things I bought. I think for a beginner this might be the perfect mixer. It's impossible to screw this up due to how straight forward the layout is. It can fit into about any situation. The USB option really opens a lot of doors too.

SOUNDS

Starting out, I rarely used EQ in my mixing, so I didn't use this one's quite that much. I did however use the sub knob quite frequently...seems like this is the calling card of all beginning DJ's looking back on it now. But for what it's worth I thought the sub adjustments were very nice. Sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. Then again this unit packs a lot of quality for the price, without giving you a lot of stuff you really don't need. This is a very minimalist mixer and for good reason, but I never had any issues with sound quality or anything of that sort.

OVERALL OPINION

I finally upgraded this unit because I outgrew it, simply for that reason alone. I didn't have any issues with it other than that I wanted something bigger. However for the year or so I did use it I never had a complaint. And it never messed up or took any damage. It feels very solid by the way. It's not a fancy unit, but it does a great job at what it's supposed to do. The sliders all feel great. It has a professional look and feel. The value is definitely there. Ask yourself how many channels and inputs you need because that will be a big factor in buying this unit. It's great for learning the ropes but not of much use to a professional DJ. Highly recommended for beginners.

Is Rack? - Yes

What is the type of connection (RCA, Jack, XLR ...)? - RCA (phono and line inputs + output and rec master), 6.3mm jack for channel microphone and headphone and then two USB ports (one used to record the sound on pc, allowing the two to mix with software without plates).

What is the accuracy of the sample (bits / kHz)? - 24bit digital

How many lanes, bus attendant, departures, returns ...)? - 2-way + 1 Mic + option to switch the output and rec master 2 channels.

UTILIZATION

The general configuration is it simple? - All hands on, we quickly make the rounds of his duties.

The manual is clear and sufficient? - I had a DXM01 USB before, never had to read the x1 using the same architecture, I do not have the utility either.

The usual functions are they easily accessible? - The equations are well placed (I much prefer the vertical to the horizontal or in a triangle, but it's still a personal choice)

SOUNDS

The console is transparent? - Using it only in my room, for now I did not notice breath

The equalizer is effective? - I never could really test other tables, yet it has always agreed, but I am confident that having tasted other products will change my mind on that point

OVERALL OPINION

How long have you use it? - 1 month now

Have you tried many other models before buying it? -As I said above the dxm01usb which is based on the same architecture and retains the same layout / same characteristics

What is so special that you like best? - Its simplicity of use and robustness (I do not get me, but if it lasts as my DXM01, it would nikel). The coating of knobs is more pleasant, too, the cross is quite nice: it can be used for a little scratch, although I will not use main (one can easily replace it with one or innofader of dxm



The least? - The LED of the meter! they attack the eyes, it is impressive (I had to hide them with plastic semi_opaque, it became difficult to look at the equation in the dark).
I would add also that the USB interface for my taste is to troubleshoot to record a mix, but we must not make a selection criterion of the table (the sound quality is not exactly top).


Or the price I got it (sales on french site), I really regret it, and I hope it will last me as long as my old mixer (the latter had to cross the breath and messing around on the usb end, but a change in cross and would have continued his job with no problem).
