What characteristics have motivated your choice?

Essentially a prod continue leaving the studio, on the train or plane for example, and this little toy gave me permission! It simply connects via USB and is powered by the battery of the PC / MAC. It has a tap tempo function for the ARP, a key sustain, to set the program arp (1 / 4 1/4T .. 6 & up 1/32T modes ARP) and octave up & down.

UTILIZATION

The keyboard is velocity sensitive, despite some pbs some time.
Just plug it to start the PC and open your sequencer (Cubase 5 for me, Windows 7) and then play your instruments.
The keyboard keys are plastic, but resilient, the device itself is sturdy already fallen several times is not deformed or damaged.

The manual is in several languages, as there is a PC editor to adjust your presets

OVERALL OPINION

I have now for eight months and I use always the same when I move, it is very useful and would like a backpack, it's perfect when you can not lug around a synth and want to complete some settings in cubase or add a few instruments on a prod.

I tried the korg nanoKEY before him and I'm glad to have the AKAI, very friendly and very simple.
This choice I would do again in a single second
