UTILIZATION
The touch is superb, it's what motivated my purchase
Installation is a little bug but it is explained in the manual (which is sufficient but not necessarily clear trs)
the editor is very well done for soft, trs readable and the changes are applied directly to the keyboard! good point .. on the other hand there is no preset for vsti's march .. just for the Proteus / Emulator X E-mu ...
I do not use the Proteus provided because I possde Emulator X Studio The DJ (card + 1820M Emulator X)
Live Lite is trs trs limit .. not usable as it is my opinion.
The 16 knobs directly control the Proteus / Emulator X and it's really enjoyable and trs "visual"
The aftertouch (very rare in this price range) aporte a real plus in expression!
OVERALL OPINION
I bought the DS came out and really do not regret it.
I love the touch the knobs are quite enjoyable and rsistants, some may be small, the two knobs perfect.
Too bad there have no presets for other synths, you have to patch is the same but as the editor E-MU X Board is not too damn Gnant .
I sold my Edirol PCR-50 to buy it and I do not regret at all, the X Board possde do not have zippers but I used very little (only for B-3 organ like ) is I do not miss.
The report qualitprix is like all new E-MU products ... unbeatable!
The only criticism to E-MU (not for the keyboard in particular but for all their products) is the time they put out the day up ... 2 in two years for the 1820M and Emulator X!
In conclusion I would say one of the best choices right now for those who want a keypad for vsti in his home studio ... stronger if you own the emulator DJ Studio X or X!
