Made in Spain a priori. Jumbo Cutaway, good access to treble. Preamp Fishman Prefix Plus.
Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Binding nice wooden table at the junction / sides.
UTILIZATION
Guitar very good despite some flaws amazing. Despite its size, comfortable to play seated or standing, at home or live. I did about 150 concerts. The original connector (male XLR jack + 6.35) was of high quality hi-fi and partially wired (XLR inoperative). I had to replace the base with the stuff jack quality, due to worries of welding in the second with this instrument. Surprising given the overall quality!
Highly reliable mechanical means an instrument that can be just weeks away!
Nut original fragile broken in two during a repeated one week after purchase, by attacking a little hard on the G string ...
SOUNDS
Before buying, I tried ten guitars in 4 stores. I wanted a ring capable of electro acoustics. After trying various models (Gretsch, Takamine, and so on), I have not found one. Santafe a takamine, pure sound, was pale beside.
A stamp woody, warm, fat bass and treble very good round like I love them. Combined with the precision of the ebony fingerboard and comfortable neck of this guitar is a gem! It sounds!
This compensates for its problem without some minor flaws acastillage.
Note that it recalls the more rustic sound of Canadian folk folk than a typed "Nashville." It is not in "any brilliant" here, no acute silky stick. It depends on what you are looking for. But in its way, it is powerful and generous.
In electro-acoustic, my faith is not exceptional but it is reliable and efficient. With the simple and the fishman piezo, it is far to find the richness of acoustic sound of the instrument, especially if one wants to take a solo ... But if it works, and the battery consumption is reasonable.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this guitar new € 1,200 in April 2003. For me it's worth: solid wood, ebony fingerboard, super safe, super set, super sound, at that price there was to offer it all here. I did a lot of road with (and it shows ...!), I do not see myself separate me one day. A real favorite.
