I'll be quick:
Mac in the 90s then passed to the PC for 10 years, and, and ..... the world has changed since:
Apple is now building machines of war, fearsome power!
Between the 2.5 GHz MacBook Pro and MacPro 8 cores at 2.8 Ghz, one is ready for the home and mobile.
Certainly, it is not given to the purchase, but it should be seen as an investment (it will last with the advance they have!)
(Nothing to do with the PC 500 or € 1000 or Carrouf Darty!)
Everything is well thought out, too simple qques same time (that's my PC that passage speaks!)
However, it should give him the air:
- / Additional RAM, 2 GB or 4 .... (Same for the MBP: 4GB)
- / Supplemental Disc with Logic, which already eats 50 GB (2x Me 1TA, 2x320 GB internal raid and 1 Ext Ta)
Leopard 10.5.x, is a feast for the management of Time Machine backups (with FW external drive dedicated 1TA)
Really need multiple screens with a 24 "assisted systems Exposé and Spaces System (very useful),
As for gauges processors running Logic Studio 8 and Cubase 5: they balladent ....
In short, a success. Increasingly, the design is fading by the quality of execution (the aluminum inside / outside, memory cards girl bay aluminum HD sorted components, etc ...: it's clean, well away from the spaghetti some PCs! !)
The only flaws - small flat-:
-/la management firewire which is not in phase with the power of the machine
(I really struggled to configure: a Poco FW, Duende Mini, KonneKt48 Tc, and an external WD drive, the disc is too famous in the chain)
since-sold-for poco and duende of internal PCIe)
- / Few USB (5 is not terrible-need-hub compared to my old PC which had 8)
- / No wifi / bluetooth home I had it on my Vaio base there already more than 3 years! It's been a little rat to 2500 € the bike (with apple getting used)
- / And as usual, those damned apple mouse!, No how.
(on the other hand Aluminium keypad, it is the most successful part of its quality and design)
Hence the 9 / 10
With experience, the same choice? yes, definitely ..... we'll see in time qques.
