-Transistor amplifier with a floor lamp in the pre-amplification.
575W-300W or by adding an 8 ohm speaker.
-Connections: Front: instrument input, output tuner, line out, and DI
rear: 2 footswitch input, Speakon output for additional speaker, effects loop, line input
-Controls: input gain switch with active / passive meter, shape switch (boost the midrange input), signal level through the lamp, 7-band eq, octave, mute, and volume.

UTILIZATION

The configuratuion is very simple, using the meter to adjust the input gain, then one only has to play with those big round buttons for any type sound. Whatever the setting the sound is excellent, not a shadow of a breath or a background noise even with the settings thoroughly. No manual comes with it can be downloaded from the site but not really useful Ashdown is a breeze to use.

SOUNDS

I play a multitude of musical styles (rock power, traditional Basque, heavy metal, disco, rock, jazz, reggae, pop, neo metal and so on) and is at ease in all registers. I play with a precision, or a Jazzbass JB5 Warmoth Deluxe and the sound is always excellent. You just adjust the settings according to the bass and played the style and go. Although this is a 2x10 ", the sound is very serious and I have in most cases of low cut (with the precision I play bass with virtually knob 0!), But this is not a problem, quite the contrary.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year or so. I immediately hooked to the sound, compact, powerful, warm, which is reminiscent Ampeg or Trace Elliot. The visual appearance is also very careful with the meter, the leather upholstery, the hp blue, fun to watch as to hear. I tried a pleyade amp before this one. The only config I got this amp worth was an ampeg SVT3 with SWR triad but it was also much more cumbersome and less convenient (when you repeat every day at five different locations and on weekends we play , we soon tired of amps into four parts that weigh 50kg each!). The value for money is unbeatable, 1000EUR around 1300 to 1700 against the equivalent in or ampeg trace elliot!
