« Music Man HD-212 »
Published on 06/25/01 at 15:00got it in a trade. wanted a powerful 212 tube combo
appearence wise, its a very good looking amp. enormous power. two channels. very clean tone at high volumes. simple to operate
gain not very high. heavy.
212 combo, 130 watts, 4 el-34 power tubes, i 12ax7a driver tube, solid state pre-amp. when leo fender started musicman, he was trying to cross a twin reverb with a marshall and this is the result. more aggressive than a 70's twin but cleaner than a marshall. looks identical to a twin.
very well made amp, will last a life time. endless volume. mine is an early 70's model, very low serial number, dead clean, doesnt appear to have ever left a bedroom. overdrive is primitive but a good pedal will do great. i give the overall rating a 5 because the amp does excatly what its designed to do.
