OVERALL OPINION
My review of the S212 TecAmp 4ohms after spending seven months on.
First, the test materials:
Low:
JP Zia low 5 (5 string B -> G)
Ibanez BTB 1005 custom shop (with piezos) (5 string B -> G)
Yamaha TRB 1005 fretless (5 string B -> G)
preamp bypass / QSC RMX 850 amp bridged.
First impression of my fellow guitarists who came for a walk at home: it sends severe!
then after a while, but what sound! (I'm happy)
Well I think: very very faithful rendition of the sound of my bass.
The bass is very deep, so bad passes without difficulty, and its very growler is heard. no saturation, no talonage HP
(Tested at 1 / 4 of the amp around, because the dala is windows and other instruments which are in resonance (especially the skins of percussion ... more cables laid on the other forums etc. .. .).
We can adjust the sound of the tweeter, and to my surprise, even set up, it did not bother me (this is one reason why I sold my Hartke cabinets, because I find them Acute too "noisy", too "brilliant".
Here are péchus sharp, precise and dynamic but not "exaggerated".
Mediums are very surprising, very mellow and muted, the fretless sound is to die, set flat on the bass, play with his right hand resting on the handle, the sound "bass" on the E string and is as by magic, then the active preamp take over the ropes and ground re .... normal, the "bass" is not as "clear" on the ropes there.
The game is slap in the happiness of the same tweeter and the tweeter off, all reacted more like a 2x10 without tweeter is to fall so the dynamics of HP is present only!
The typed (no compression) are also very present too ....

If you followed my approach is to look in an HP, at first, I had gone to take a HP 15 "HP + a 2x10" and Mr. Kah, pointed me to this 2x12 "unique.
The result, this 2x12 "has absolutely no need to ring!
Other significant points: the weight and bulk! out of the box was a breeze! my amp head was now heavier than my HP
and other points still significant:
- Finishing: the rolls of the HP ...... great finish (and I know what I mean)
- The price, certainly a bit much for a 2x12 "but in terms of quality is a very good quality / price ratio ...
and compare with a good set 15 "+ 2x10", it's still cheaper .....
And in concert, the sound at high volume is not distorted, very clean. This fills me HP!
