Best value:
Excellent
How long do you use?
I use it for 3 months on a 5-string Jazz Bass, with a John East U Retro preamp. They went through almost every style of music.
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
I tried a different range of microphones Tom MARCEAU (the classics), which correspond at least in my game and my desires, with more growl, but I wanted something more accurate, coupled with the bass amp (mounted and also on the advice of Tom).
I had the opportunity to test the Lindy Fralin, the type of microphones that my taste is closer to the perfection of bass sounds, and after talking to Tom for me that order, m ' advised to try his set Jazz Bass V.
What is so special that you like most and least?
It's not me saying "your bass is super accurate to mix it blends into the mix but this is still great, a real treat." The sound engineer with whom I work does not want me to take my other basses (Jazz Bass US, jaguar, Precision, Jazz Bass Marcus Miller).
The set of microphones is the most accurate, full of mediums and with very low round, a treat.
Unlike the other set of tom (there are several sets in MARCEAU, including classics (tested) and vintage (adoptés!!)), There is a little less growl is a little less fat, it's drool a little less.
How would you rate the quality / price?
Excellent, because for me it was the custom for the price of microphones of a great brand, you have the advice of the manufacturer and a maker at the same time.
With experience, the choice would you do? ...
I hesitated a long time, and with hindsight I would not hesitate at all this, Tom did a great job with professional quality products, and with great listening and a lot of patience.
