« The B-20 for the price of B-8 »
Published on 04/10/13 at 00:54How long have you been using?
I have used these cymbals for a month.
Did you try many other models before buying it?
I had the opportunity to play on many cymbals: Paiste and Zildjian low and mid-range, Sabian mid and high range (HH, AAX, etc ...)
What in particular did you like the most and the least?
The cymbals have a real sound color. They are sleek and quality for the price! Suddenly, they dethrone the products that offer widely known brands! If I dissect the set, here's my opinion:
Hi-hats 14": dark and powerful that respond very well both open and closed (8 of 10)
Crash 16": a clear and well-defined that stands out in the mix .. ideal for break punctuation (7 of 10)
Crash 18": sounds rather deep with lots of presence. To be used to keep the rhythm! (7 of 10)
Ride 20": a ping with little presence with a non-existent bell... yet it sounds, it is deep and sustain a large ... Jazz, lounge and soft rock to delight him go ... for rock and metal... it is not ideal! Let's be honest, it's a little weak point of the set (5.5 out of 10)
How do you rate the quality / price?
After careful reflection, it is in this price range, the best choice! However, everything will depend on the lifetime of the cymbals and the definition of its time ... After a month, the glossy finish is definitely not helping, it clearly dinstingue dents to compare ..., j 'charley B8pro have a rock for 10 years that looks like new! To see it!
