The price of the A-Designs REDDI is more expensive than the earlier models from this company but it is well worth the money. The A-Designs REDDI is well built and will give you a great tone for your bass. The color of it is bright red which really is not appealing to me but that has nothing to do with the way that the A-Designs REDDI performs. It has a dual triode 6N1P tube and a toroidal power transformer. It will give you a large amount of gain that you need for multiple applications or instruments.
UTILIZATION
The A-Designs REDDI is easy to set up and to use, it takes no effort at all to use it and set it up. The A-Designs REDDI weighs less than 10 pounds and has a frequency response from 20 Hz to 60 kHz.
SOUND QUALITY
The A-Designs REDDI is very transparent and gives you a bright but still warm sound. It is built to last you a long time, I should know because I have dropped this thing about 10 times in the last year alone and it has not stopped working yet, it has only left scrapes and scuffs on the metal casting of the A-Designs REDDI.
OVERALL OPINION
Overall there are a lot of similar devices like this on the market; you will need to do some research to find the one that is right for you and in your price range. The Radial ProD8 is similar to the A-Designs REDDI. But the A-Designs REDDI is much better because of the sound that it gives you. If you are thinking about getting the A-Designs REDDI and are worried about spending the 750 that it cost, then don’t worry because you will get your money’s worth in no time!
