OVERALL OPINION

- The balanced XLR output (the base of a DI) on the bottom of the unit
- An output jack Direct link "front that swings exactly the same signal as the input returns to
- An output "unbalanced out" in front that swings exactly the same signal as the XLR out.

The difference between the output "direct link" and unbalanced out is the direct link double exactly what you enter in the ID, while the unbalanced out passes, as the XLR output, for your settings.

Before reaching the XLR (or exit out unbalanced ", so), you have 3 buttons:
- A 20 db preamp low quality but often useful
- A-30db attenuator if you plug a device output level high
- A switch "gnd lift" to avoid problems of ground loops (not yet successful to use it but good)

Personally, I pair a headphone amplifier Behringer HA4700:
- On each INPUT DI-Pro 800, I plug in an instrument
- After 20 db preamp XLR he went to the mixing console
- Taking into account the +20 db I connect the output "unbalanced outs" to an input of my headphone amp
- I connected the output of the console control room at the main entrance of the headphone amplifier

Result: each musician to share the console through a balanced signal, and each musician is defined individually in his ear, perfectly, in addition to the total mix of the console.

€ 89 for 8 in Euroguitar with DI preamp / attenuator and full connectivity, there is no clear picture ...

PS: Small + fun: if you unplug a device for releasing an electrical outlet, it is this: If your mixing console has a phantom power, you can send the juice by the XLR ...
