The main reason to use a DBT is to provide electrical isolation between DIFFERENT Facilities o ground loops can be a problem. DBT may also convert a signal into a signal asymmetrical symmetrical through long lengths of cable without dgradation.
This product can return XLR, Jack and RCA and XLR out. It also has a ground lift per channel.
UTILIZATION
No configuration, no edition sounds !!!!!
I use it all adapter can (RCA-> XLR or Jack> XLR). I often used to get a laptop (or any other device that I need to adapt Impedance) in a console. It also helps eliminate some buzz ...... It is my companion!
SOUND QUALITY
Not much to say, it's transparent, no dtrioration signal (it is still happy to have you pay !!!!!
OVERALL OPINION
If I am not the maximum score is that the LA Audio DBT is quite fragile. The interior welds tend lcher easily, it is used for performance and not quietly in the studio, this might be explaining this. So they are often in for repair ... That said, I use it almost daily.
