It is a digital piano, its keyboard has 76 notes. What we offer you it sounds?
Three acoustic pianos
Two electric pianos (Fender Rhodes and one another)
A harpsichord
A clavinet
A vibraphone.

UTILIZATION

Operation is simple a priori but lacks comfort level program change: no visual reference, or display screen, no screen, the change is made via the keyboard. Except for the first 8 programs (Program Change). We must therefore have the record under the eyes or a lot of memory! To remember that to call, for example, the program No. 101, we must press the Midi (this is not the hardest), but also, and there, it gets harder, the notes si4, mid flat 3 and F 4. It took me a week to familiarize myself with this keyboard .. And of course it was created during a residency .. and of course I had not brought with me my medication now famous "Cogitum" for patented blonde!
There's this keyboard a lot of interesting possibilities well hidden or too. The dashboard is extremely simple and at first n 'musicians not worry. Yes but now, in this extensive use Roland me really turned Jenny! For example from another instrument like my Nord Stage, I have called the HP-2000 programs. 32 presets and configurations combining effects: Vibraphone with tremolo and chorus program in 29, 3 piano void in program 2 etc. .. And always from some notes you can transpose the keyboard to other keys (it took me time). But hello gas plant with a damn bad documentation and especially no indication on the keyboard!

SOUNDS

The three acoustic pianos are distinguished by their depth and shine. The piano is a deep enough and I find its tone resembles that of a quarter of a tail piano 2 is closer to him (upright piano) and the third metal rings. For the third concert I would have added the chorus and brilliance, I then recalled some electroacoustic piano.
The clavinet, with its maximum brightness, I was plunged back into the 70s. Completely removing the shine and gently playing notes on a medium, I managed with a little training to get an acoustic guitar sound pretty realistic.
Well, since we are talking of something that is sounds great. If you want to change the preset, the machine will wait until you release all notes, meaning that it can prepare its next Registration while keeping the other if the game is legato. Okay this is not new but it's still terribly practical.
The chorus effect adds as you can imagine the depth and the tremolo is welcome on selections like the vibraphone. With the No. 2 electric piano, harpsichord and clavinet, the keyboard is 10 notes of polyphony, for against, with five presets, it is polyphonic on 16 ratings.
The sounds are realistic but not amazing either. Both piano sounds are quite good, as the sound of the Fender corresponding preset puzzles me. Okay I may be pain in the ass, but I know Rhodes, and frankly we do here is damn far away. Yet Roland urged the Vice recreate the Fender defect by adding this small distortion that has helped make this legendary sound. But this is not enough.

OVERALL OPINION

It is a good keyboard for home or for a music school, however in the studio or on stage is to forget its use is so twisted and impractical! The tones are accurate for the pianos and disappointing for Rhodes, vibraphone and clavinet are pretty good, and the harpsichord seems a tad aggressive. Harpsichord must say I'm not an expert in this field and I just tried this sound out of curiosity.
The technical director of the theater to have pity on me and gave me another keyboard since, like what's the point of whining from time to time. Seriously if one day it offers Roland instead of your application refuse backline. Your fellow musicians will thank you because it will NOT have to wait for a simple program change!

Sarah a musician tends Calimero whining :)
