UTILIZATION
The manual is well pinned and KaossProEditor PC super easy to use, finally, j'dis it but I did not even set foot in the publishing of MIDI parameters.
Navigation between different functions / menus is relatively easy as well.
SOUND QUALITY
The sounds are super clean, but not very original (there are a lot of classic sounds from other machines Korg Electibe style, but it is always nice because very fun to use)
The effects and filters are clean as well, however, I do not think we can change them according to preset (totally invented example: preset low No. 42 which has a style Flanger FX X / Y; preset synth n No. 66 that a delay in FX bin and can not interchange °, the coup is a bit stiff.
OVERALL OPINION
I've since December but I just did a compulsive purchase, and finally I tell myself I should have taken the red, let me explain:
He has very good rhythm, synths interesting, some big bass, all lined with a nice little range of effects (with a big damper on the frozen look, see above) that using the screen via touch screen makes it very pleasant and your fun, but good j'travaille already Machine + pc so I still do what synth and rhythm, whereas with the red I would have had only a multiFX for use in FXsend / return, with 250 effects (green also has this feature but with only 15 effects).
In fact, for me, the main fault lies in the MIDI connection, let me explain again:
When I plug in MIDI to other devices, and that I put in synchroEXT he is receiving the signal of BPM but not the Start / Stop, c ie if I play on my master element to 140 bpm, aligns the KAOSS slave bpm there, but when I start the clock (when I run all my stuff) and the bin kaoss not share with everyone, I'm obliged to hand launched, which means to be super good call, whereas with my other machines, when I run the sound on my pc (which is the master), I have three machines that start automatically and which follow, even changes in bpm during execution, and suddenly, it starts not, it's great C-Scrap ...
The big plus is the KaossPro Edditor:
So I save any small loop synthesizer or rhythm real-time effects, and everything, and then I save, I plug in USB to my PC, I get the wav file that I important in AbletonLive and there as I want 'em reworks.
