Value For Money :
Excellent
I use it almost every day for 4 years.
I tested a dozen other headphones (AKG, Denon, Numark, Skull Candy, Panasonic, Sennheiser) before acquiring the Pioneer HDJ-1000, including headphones HDJ-1000 bought on ebay and found to be be a forgery.
What I like most is his accuracy, it detects all the faults of a sound, what is necessary to analyze music. It is not pleasant for a music lover because it is not made for that, it's a spice that does not forgive anything, so it's perfect for the headphones monitoring, and inappropriate for the hifi.
What I like least is the fact that there are many fakes on this model, and HDJ-1000 headphones are usually fake bad (we recognize them easily: they have no mono switch / stereo).
The value for money is good, since it has already lasted four with heavy use. In addition, you can purchase replacement pads when the pads wear the headphones.
I read on forums that many users complain of weakness at the base of the setting of headphones, as the R or L: I also have a crack at this place, but not serious for yet.
With experience, I have the same choice again.
