Perfect for the price I paid
Published on 03/22/11 at 08:03These sennheiser HD 205 headphones are really good.
They are mainly dj headphones and have a nice little rotating phone on the right side so you can easily listen to the next track while you are listening to what you are playing at the moment.
I must say that the frequency response on these headphones are great. Before I got a hold of some studio monitors I was using these to mix and master to and my tracks turned out pretty good.
I have to say that the really low end sub bass does not get picked up as much as I would like, but I am a sub junkie so you can never please me in that aspect.

I paid about £40 for these headphones and they are brilliant for the price. They are pretty lightweight and very strong. They come with a quarter inch jack adapter to plug into your mixer like most dj headphones do and it is a mini jack or 3.5mm whatever you want to call it jack normally.
The jack is gold plated which is very nice, you do not hear any buzz or things like that.
The only problem I would say is that even though on the box it says over ear headphones they do no go fully over your ear as you might expect, the cushion padding area kind of rests on your ear than actually going over it, my ears are really small also so I know what I am talking about
So because they rest on your ear they do start to hurt after a long session of wearing them but by a long session I mean like 4 to 5 hours of wearing them none stop.
Altogether then I think that for the price I paid these headphones are great, good quality noise cancellation and a nice lightweight but sturdy frame that lets you wear them without thinking they are going to break are all good qualities for a pair of headphones like this.
I would definitely pick these again if my bust.See less00 - jb40Published on 07/23/10 at 09:01 (This content has been automatically translated from French)For how long have you been using it?
I use it for 9 months
What thing do you like most/least about it?
+ Good insulation outside
+ Adapter jack and house
- The cable is really too long (3 meters) I takes my foot in it.
- It is too tight!
- Headsets and do not break easily
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Numark not just a very low-end
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Not very good from this brand
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
Food for thought ...

Good headset overall.
Published on 08/25/10 at 14:12 (This content has been automatically translated from French)This headset produces good sound quality, although it lacks a little bass to my taste, you can always catch up with an equalizer. The cable is long enough, the very nice design. But it tends to heat up the ears, meaning that some medium and can hurt when you leave our ear headphones are turned color. For my part I find that this headphone does not shake her head as it's a little true, but this is negligible given the high quality and beautiful finish, and then at least it does not fall! Some models are much better, I think the HD 215, but more expensive, so in its price range is a very good headphone.00 - thegaou
correct for live recording
Published on 09/09/10 at 00:30 (This content has been automatically translated from French)used for some months
I have other headphones that some find it comfortable here (it's true that it is indeed the skull)
by the other cons have trouble with (you also have to adjust).
brief is not to mix and then mix in the headphones is not my thing.
Otherwise it sound so much flatter for small / medium budget, seeing as I'd keep using for musicians / singers to reach agreement during the recordings00 - Shume
Pretty good

Value unbeatable price
Published on 12/23/10 at 06:01 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Used for a year, it competes with headphones whose price is much less attractive.
Good external noise insulation, made naturally with good foam. Serre head a little anyway ...
Good quality, may be its lack of clarity in my taste, but nothing'insoutenable, far from it!
Considering the price, unless you have 200 € to put in a headphone, buy without hesitation!

My roommate, who is a DJ, has a pair of these headphones and he likes them a lot for what he's using them for. I've borrowed them a few times just to kind of see what they sound like and to get some comparison to my headphones and others that I've used. While the HD 205's are definitely suitable for listening back to stuff in the studio or elsewhere, I wouldn't use them in the studio for any purposes other than this. I can't speak too much about their usefulness in the world of DJing, but as I said earlier, my roommate who has these uses them for this purpose and likes them a lot. Even though they do have a full enough sound, they're definitely not adequate for mixing and really not even for checking mixes if they're the only headphones you're checking on (they would be fine as an extra set). For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend the Sennheiser HD 205's for anything other than the intended use for DJ's. The price should probably be a bit cheaper, as it's not too far off from the HD 280's, which in my opinion are superior in sound and overall quality, as well as versatility. Check these out if you're looking for a set of DJ headphones, but otherwise I'd consider another pair like the HD 280's or something else from Sennheiser.See less00
