I use this controller for 6 months,

I tried the Hercules and other toys for children but it is still more "pro" than those in the same price range.

What I like most is the design,
that it is compact (2U rackmount 19 ")
compatibility with Virtual DJ and Traktor (driver on the Pioneer site)
the button that toggles the mode jogs vinyl or cd
the fact that the buttons are Cue Play and metal
the sensitivity of the buttons (you feel you are on the Pioneer)

What I like least is that it must add an external sound card good but nothing too bad.

Quality / price ratio at the top (personal opinion)

I will ever experience with this choice, but surely I will turn to MEP 7000 to avoid having a pc (I made the discomobile)

I also wanted to say that it is fully compatible with Vista and Seven just download the correct driver on the Pioneer site

Assets:
- Success in aesthetic

Cons:

- Not very easy to install under Vista.
- No midi file for accounting to other software (Serato, Traktor, MixVibes, deckadence, virtual dj ...) In fact, except for proprietary software Pioneer DJS.
- Therefore the LEDs of the keys and screen are inoperative and the controller becomes the controller the most basic products ........

Review DJS (comes with soft and therefore the only fully recognized by the SEP-C1):

to summarize: less functional soft mix of the best in vogue. But in the end who cares as tt is controlled from the controller.
Interface conflict with the machine (CAD ugly) it is only my opinion.
Config menu still very very poor when compared to the best ...
Plant if like me you use the card mixvibes U46DJ (even when it took me 2 days to detect the points.

Pioneer in the end use of this trick (CAD software package + controller) to increase the price. I find it expensive. especially since the machine does not even sound card included.

I just buy it, prices fell sharply (destocking) and the new driver (on site at Pioneer) is working with VDJ and Traktor. I've added a Audio 2, the sound is exellent and the couple is recognized natively per Traktor. Budgets: less than 400 Euros for the two new aircraft ...
Reactivity accuracy and speed controls are Pricipals its strengths. It operates on the HID protocol (such as 900 and the 2000 ?...) I do not understand why this info is not found near both the Pioneer docs on the descriptions of the shops. I for my part discovered by chance this technical detail.
This command goes to the essential functions with reduced relative to the interfaces while a fashionable but the bulk of the pair (C1 and Audio2 PRC) and the price attracted me. No bugs so far in twenty hours of use. Pitch bend by buttons + / -, start / cue, loop, research in music or menus in the comp are excellent.
The only downside is the lack of info for configuring as few examples on the net and limited doc. Dificult for a non expert Traktor (I am), adjust the sensitivity of the plates scratch / research trimming in the original config makes it impossible to stall a bit early to jog set ... Also some details on the config is done in the dark (original driver CD does not work under win 7, about two cords connecting the USB config with VDJ ...).
The display is really small, it is better to concent on the PC screen.
Ultimately, both devices are recognized by Tracktor and just follow the protocol config and everything works. It's a bit more "galley" with VDJ but it ends up walking.
I use its direct competitor DENON: DNHC4500. I find it hard to say what is the best. Both devices are designed to pro. The Pio is the fastest starts (the HID Pioneer must be something to do ...). Apart from the size 2U rack, ergonomics and the "feel Pioneer is there, the machine inspires confidence and users of the mark will not be disoriented. The sound also seems to be more precise and punchy on the Pio as the Denon especially with Traktor.
The Denon is easier to pitch, more friendly and logical navigation between songs, trays scratch / search more accurate and easy it is dott&eacute;e internal sound card and the display is more "readable" and more complete. I'm not going to add, there are some functions in addition to the Denon (and hot sync button starts or effects ...)
The value for money is really interesting and respective industry saw the price of new device and sound card. Who wants to focus on the "mix", the camera is awesome and will definitely sustainable. For working with playlists on key functionalities provided by the double CD are taken into account (video, karaoke, good internal sound card ...) Namely MEP 7000 I believe, but this is more expensive and other devices are respective industry.

Among all current mixing programs, it's the less ergonomic solution. But we don't care since everything can be controlled via the controller.

You'll have program crashes if you use a Mixvibes U46DJ card like me (I needed two days to detect the problem.
