This guitar was made in Japan.
It has 21 frets thin.
The microphone is a sensor Piezo Ibanez.
The preamp is a model EQ3v Fishman.
The species are:
- Top: Solid Sitka spruce in 2 parts
- Eclises and back: rosewood (back in two parts separated by a marquetry)
- Bridge: Ebony.
- Neck: Mahogany
- Fingerboard: Rosewood.
- Marquetterie in abalone (shell buttons pins)
- 4-ply Binding on the table, a fold back
Fittings:
- Grover oil bath.
- Attach cords conventional plastic insert in the bridge.
- Bone nut and bridge saddle plastic (Ibanez delivered a set of shims and a 2nd bridge saddle)
UTILIZATION
The neck is thin enough and is comfortable enough for an electro, without going to the convenience of electricity. The varnish of the back sleeve allows you to play fast enough, but sticks fast when the fingers are sweating.
The key is nice and maintenance is easy as this rosewood does not drink much, unlike other when passing the product.
The access is facilitated by a sharp cut. Here again we must not expect to easily achieve the 21 boxes.
The weight is reasonable. Ergonomics fairly well thought out.
The balance of the instrument is good sitting, less when standing because the body is deep. We arrive to get a good sound easily.
A mechanical turn harder than the other 5 (odd).
SOUNDS
I play the variety and type of evening campfires with family. I branch in 25% of electro tracks to record on my PC. The sound goes through my TASCAM 4-track with no effects (I rajoutent later).
Fishman preamp allows Scult the sound of a quite remarkable and the result is almost always musical.
This guitar requires a game more than muffled percussion to speak, is a Latin!
OVERALL OPINION
The sounds are quite rich and dense enough to an instrument of this price (I bought FF 4300 there are about 4 / 5 years). The grain is rather plain and very straight, unfortunately without any real personality. I would add that in this price range I have tried about 40/50 with my instruments dealer (he's take me for an illuminated) of all makes and that this instrument was the best.
The main quality of this guitar is the perfect tonal balance. The bass are deep thanks to its large body, the very present midrange and treble but not excessively crystalline. The power is very convincing sound.
The value for money is unique, let us not mince words.
With experience I will wait a bit to buy a YAM APX higher end that did not exist when I bought this instrument.
